Adam slid off his leather coat quickly and wrapped it around her. "Understand able. But you should still her. She is your mother."

"Thank you." Madaline murmured when he placed his coat on her. It helped her keepy warm, but still she felt a bit cool. "And I know, but I just choose not to worry her. My parents have too much to do to just drop everything and come. They won't be satisfied with just a phone call saying I'm fine. I know them." She said, frowning a bit. She hoped he would just leave it at that.

"Ok." Adam said. Madaline seemed a tad annoyed so he dropped it. "So what do we do now? Is there a us?"

"An us?" Madaline repeated, not fully understanding what he had meant. "What do you mean?" After a few seconds, she processed what he had said. She didn't quite know how to respond.

"What are we gonna do? Are you and I just gonna forget about eachother?" Adam asked.

Madaline flinched at the word forget. She slowly opened her eyes again, then they slowly found their way up to him. "What do you think?" She asked, throwing back the question at him. She didn't quite know herself.

"I dont want to move on. I really dont want to forget. But if you want to move on and start over please go ahead." Adam said slightly crushed with the possibility that Madaline may just want to start over.

"Well, honestly I don't know." Was all Madaline could think of answering. She took a deep breath, her mind. wandering off with the thoughts of the decisions she had to make. Starting over sounded like a good idea, with them starting off as friends once again and slowly making process. Even though she thought of choosing that, Madaline also knew that starting all over again was something hard for Adam. She bit her lip and stared at the floor, thinking.

"Ok. Take your time." Adam said quietly.

"Thank you.. for being so understanding." Madaline mumbled to him, her eyes flickered up to him. She slowly sat up, sitting criss-crossed with the blanket covering her legs. She grabbed his coat and also laid it over her legs. "Most people would rush into this.. I really appreciate you giving me space.."
