Xanther's blush deepened but then it began to become lighter. He looked down at Mary then down at the sand again.

Mary looked over at Xanther. She quickly kissed him softly on the cheek.

Kendall woke up, bored. She knew she would forget about Xanther. She got up and walked out of her room and down to the beach. She saw Xanther and Mary sitting close together. She walked to the other side of the beach, not wanting to disturb them, and sat down in the sand.

Xanher blushed deeper instead and gave Mary a smile. That is when he saw Kendall. Oh no, he thought. Kendall! She's the one who liked me! Xanther departed from Mary and said," Mary, I'm sorry but I gotta go. I've got..work to do!" He said quietly and he quickly stood up, looking at Kendall then at Mary. He took a deep breath and began to run towards his room window.

Mary sighed as Xanther ran away. She wrapped her arms around her knees, closing her eyes.

Xanther ran to his window and just threw himself in, falling onto the floor on his back. He gasped for breath as pain went through his neck, then he stood up and closed his bedroom window.

Mary sighed to herself. Why does he always run away? she thought to herself.

Xanther lifted himself up, his arms wobbling and he threw himself to bed, coughing. He still had a fever but Hebstill managed to do things like "Going out" with Mary. He sighed but then something came to his mind. Something that sent his thoughts flying away. What if he gave Mary a fever?!

Xanther felt a surge of fear go through his body, hoping Mary would be okay. He was the only one with the fever so far and he hadn't wanted to spread it.
