Love Story - Not Accepting -

"Well, I know, but still!" Mel said, smiling now at her stupidity. She touched his hand as he wiped her tears away. She grabbed him for another hug. She said, "I'm just so glad you're okay." Inside, she was ecstatic.

Aspen sighed and stood up. With a silly grin she looked at Mel.

"Can I go surfing now?" she asked wih a giggle and patted her relieved yet overwhelmed friends head and dashed off to grab her sleek black short board. That would suck if something bad happened to her, although she doubted it.

Joey

"Yeah so am i," he said hugging her back. Though he sounded a bit sarcastic. He didn't mean to sound so sarcastic but he did. He hoped nobody noticed it. Then he looked back at Aspen and nodded to her question.

Mel called "Don't get eaten by sharks, or something!" Then she turned back to Joey. She had the overwhelming urge to kiss him, but held herself back, for one reason. Was that sarcasm? She thought. Oh no. She didn't want Joey to think like that.

Joey

Looked up at Mel. "You can go surfing with her if you want to," He smiled at her,trying to change the subject. He didn't want to feel like he was holding her back from having fun.

I stood off in the distance while everything was happening. Guilty. That's how I felt. I almost pass out, but I stead I only black out for a few seconds, waking up only seconds after. The thud hurt my neck. I lie there, staring up at the sky in pain. But clearly not as much pain as Joey was in, I know this.

"Well, are you okay? No pain? No need for hospitalization?" Mel asked, laughing lightly. She wanted to make sure Joey was okay before she ran off somewhere else. Also, she wanted to stay with Joey, but she couldn't come up with a good excuse to stay with him, unless she looked over-protective.

(I've gotta get to bed. I should be on at some point tomorrow. Bye!)

Chuckled "Yes, i'm fine, now go on and have fun, i'll just sit her and..." he tried thinking of something, "Looked at the sky." He laughed. He didn't want her to leave but he still didn't want to hold her back.

Aspen grinned and winked at Mel. "No promises!" she chirped and raced off, once getting waist deep jumping on and neatly paddling out, arms churning the water, her legs were at a 90 degree angle in the air, the leash velcroed on tight. She awaited a nice wae when she got deep enough and looked on the coast, waving with a bright smile. It was nice surf, and she felt lucky. But also unlucky at the same time. Why was that.

Aspens legs dangled off the edge and she hummed. Soon the perfect wave came, and she left off. She felt her momentum gain and she was soon swerving up and down the wall of water, easily getting to her feet on the board. She even managed to go airborne and do a 360 before crashing into the water,aughing from pure enjoyment

I sit up, watching Aspen surf. Wow, she was good. I really actually hate water. Ever since i was a kid, I've hated it. I have no reason, I just hate it. Its not like bunnys. I have a reason in hating bunnys. My neighbor had a pet bunny, they let it put to the back yard, and when I was in mine, it attacke me. I have a few bunny scars. Most of them are gone, but I still have few. I smile at Aspen, and wish I could go out and surf too. Or at least swim.
