She thought for a moment, knowing what was the saddest part of her life. She decided to say it, " I guess trusting this college kid when I was in second grade." she said slowly.

Jake looked at her, encouraging for her to continue.

She looked at him, her eyes watering. " uh, well he offered me this stuff saying it was kook-aid. Well it wasn't, and I mixed it in with some water and drank it. It drugged me up. When I woke up a felt a really sharp pain, then I got knocked out. When I woke up next I was in a hospital." Casey paused, " and the doctor said I had been molested." she said as a tear escaped her eye.

Jake stopped walking and turned to face her. He wipped the tear of her cheek. "I'm sorry." He said gently, and hugged her close.

" thanks." she smiled and hugged him back. " that means a lot." she said.

"Your welcome. And for the recored, i wont let anyone hurt you again." Jake said hugging her tighter.

Casey was touched by what he said, she leaned her head on his chest as tears of happiness fell from her eyes. She looked up at him, the water in her eyes reflecting of the sun glimmered. " no one has ever said that to me."

"I'm not just anyone." Jake said with a smile. He kissed her forhead lightly.

Casey smiled, her dimples showing once again. " that really means a lot to me!" she felt safe and protected, she hadn't felt that way in a long time.
