I walked inside wide-eyed as I looked around. I had never been to such a place. "Wow..." I murmered softly as I walked to the table. I waited for Liam, half hoping he would pull her chair out for her.

The owner walked with them to the table, not seeing that Liam was preoccupied. He was about to go over and pull Lexi's chair out when the owner did it for him. He made up some lie to get him to go away. He then looked back to Lexi, "Sorry, He's a bit of a talker." he said, very apologetic.

I watched, my eyes glued to Liam. I sat down and pressed myself close to the table. "It's fine..." I said softly, wrapping my legs around the legs of the chair. This is something I had always done when I was uncomfortable

McKenna heard a knock at her door and went to see who it was. She hoped it was Liam.

He hid behind the menu until the waitress came to take their orders. "Lexi?" he motioned for her to order first. He let out a small breath. Nervousness crept over him, tons of what if's flooded his mind. He couldn't concentrate enough to hear what she ordered.

I looked up and smiled. "Fettuchini alfredo with Parmesan please," I said softly, putting my menu down and looking at Liam. He seemed to be in his own world, making me feel invisible. I sighed and leaned back in my chair, staring at my fork.
