Jadyn thought for a second. "Um...well I think that people just disappear, but don't die." She said. She wasn't to sure, but she hadn't remembered anyone dying. Jadyn reached over towards Carter to get the bowl of popcorn from his dominance. She grabbed a handful of popcorn and looked at the movie.

He nodded, he hated watching any movie with death, well more specifically the death of a young girl, it made him think too much of.. Not now! he thought as he started hard at the screen, he brought himself back to normal and did the "Casually yawning but really putting my arm around you" bit.

"Raindrops on Roses and Girls in White Dresses and Sleeping with Roaches and Taking Bad Chances......"

"Photoshop still isn't the same." I sighed, I got up and lay next to her on the hammock. Our arms brushed each other, and my skin tingled. "True beauty is in the eye of the beholder... If you saw a picture of a painting, do you think you could get the full effect that the artist intended without adding anything to the picture?" I asked looking her right in the eyes. Our eyes met as we were nose to nose and my heart was racing.

She smiled, "I guess not" she playfully nudged his arm, "And ok, you won that round Mr.!" she said laughing softly, she was happy she was hanging out with some one, the others seemed to have just.. dissapeared.

Jadyn watched the movie. Damn, this movie was pretty scary. She found the familiar anticipation rise into her. She leaned onto Carter's shoulder. He did say if she got scared he could cuddle up with him.

"Raindrops on Roses and Girls in White Dresses and Sleeping with Roaches and Taking Bad Chances......"

I chuckled and lay on my side, "Do you ever feel invisible?" I asked leaning my head on my hand. I looked down at her from the raised position of my head and frowned thoughtfully. I don't know why I asked it... Probably because I needed answers... I've never had a friend before, and I felt that I needed the answer to that question the most. I didn't want to be the only one who felt that way, I needed a partner in this sad world.

She sighed, "Today I did" she said biting her lower lip, "I thought I would be able to talk to all the other girls.. but I think they are really just looking for love, not a friend" she said with a shrug, "Do you?" she asked back.

Carter smiled softly to himself as he felt her snuggle into his shoulder, he wrapped his arm around her tightly as he did his best to make her feel better.

I thought for a moment furrowing my brow, "I used to... All the time." I paused, "I guess I kind of made myself invisible... I was always trying my hardest not to be noticed." I looked at her, "I guess openly talking to you, just opened my eyes to that." I smiled. "It's funny how meeting one person can be enlightening." I found my accent to be rather pronounced and found I enunciated words a lot. It made my voice sound very English and I liked it.

She smiled cheerifully, "Well I can honestly say that I am glad to have enlightened to you" she said truthfully, she looked up at the sky and said happily, pointing with her finger, "Hey look, Orion's belt!" she said noticing her favorite star collection to look at.

Jadyn looked up at Carter for a second before looking back at the TV screen. She felt safe against him with his arm wrapped around her. The music of the movie was suspenseful. Without it, the movie would've been just fine. She spread her legs out on the remaining part of the couch and watched the movie.
