Jacob smirked. 'Exactly.' He texted back

Ryan smiled and rolled his eyes, glancing at Jacob and pushing him lightly. 'Uh Jacob. Can I tell you something?' He texted him quickly, suddenly growing serious.

Jacob nodded in real life and then texted. 'Yeah, of course.'

Ryan sighed and bit his lip really unsure of what he was doing. He took a deep breath and slowly typed. 'J- Jacob, I- I think- I think I love you.' He pressed send, then the phone slipped out of his hands smashing into a million peices on the sidewalk. Ryan stared at the phone in horror mostly because of what he'd texted, then glanced up at Jacob his eyes wide with fear. He scrambled to his feet and ran, praying Jacob wouldn't read it. Ryan had never been good at expressing his feelings and had always felt stpuid when he did. He'd never said that to anyone, ever and really it scared him, mostly because he meant it. He meant what he'd wrote though the thought scared him. He didn't like it. Ryan wished it wasn't true.

Jacob read the text and was taken aback by it. He stood quickly and ran after Ryan. "WAIT, RYAN, HOLD ON!"

Ryan pretended not to hear him. He kept running as fast as he was able too. After he was sure he was far enough away from Jacob that he wouldn't see him, Ryan ducked behind a tree sliding down to the ground. He drew his knees up to his chest and bowed his head, crying into his knees.

jacob followed Ryan for as long as he could, unable to keep up with the much faster teen. He soon started searching around in places where someone would hide, it was only then that he heared the sobs of Ryan anf followed them to their source. "Do you really mean it Ryan?" He asked cautiously

Ryan stiffened hearing Jacob's voice. He burried his face deeper into his knees. He tried to force himself to stop crying, it usually worked, though this time he couldn't seem to manage.

Jacob shrugged. "S'ok, you don't have to tell me, in fact, I'll delete the message if you want."
