Jem reached the school tierd and sweaty but she didn't let any one see and gazed across at the bike sheds where Layla was headed.

Layla chained her bike up and turned, jogging back to Jem. "Ha! I won!" She smirked.

"I saw that." Jem replied, her shcoll bag slipping from her shoulder as she turned and headed for the brick red doors of the school.

Layla followed Jem, humming and flicked her fringe out of her eyes.

Jari and Scarlett joined the small group, offering quiet greetings and looking up at the school.
