Personality: Ari is a very 'out-there' type of girl. She loves being outside, and though she definitely should not be considered athletic, she is outdoorsy. The last thing she would want is to be inside doing nothing. She enjoys reading, but why not take it outside? Ariel would never be able to handle rain, though. She loves any weather but rain; you can't do anything in it! After the rain is where she likes it - the puddles to splash in, the rainbow in the sky, the dew on the flowers to take great shots of.

Ari is the kind of girl who has her own style. She loves to mix and match different styles & prints. Sometimes it's a total fluke, other times she makes it work. Either way, Ari always wear her style with confidence. She leans a lot toward florals, along with any patterned fabric. On a normal weekend, Ariel would normally browse little shops & vintage stores; she loved the old style, and wears anything from moccasins to poodle skirts. Though she loves fashion, its not her biggest priority. If she isn't comfortable wearing something, she sure as heck isn't going to wear it. Another thing - she can't stand being inappropriately dressed to do something or to go somewhere. What kind of idiot would wear high heels for gardening or walking around? Ari knows comfort is the best way to go, and manages to look good too. She hates it when people's main cause it to look good, but for the wrong reasons. Ari would never dress to look good from someone else - other than dances and things like that, of course. She thinks love will find her, not the other way around. She's not going to put out just to get attention.

Her hair is her favorite attribute about herself, and you can really tell. It is constantly being dyed, yet she doesn't use much of other products, other than healthy things, like keratin spray. She refuses to use cheap products, all of her hair products are organic, including the dye. Though she dyes it so much, Ari doesn't do much of anything else that would ruin it; she air dries it, never uses heat on it, and it grows very quickly. Usually it's either down, up in a bun, or in a braid(s). She is a bit of an organic freak; she not only knows it's good for her, but she also thinks it tastes and feels so much better. She loves going to the farmer's market and organic little shops.

Despite her weird little quirks, Ari is a really easy person to talk to. Of course, she may just snap a picture of you while you're in the middle of talking, but don't worry, she doesn't show people her photo's, they just stay with her. She is a really good listener, and doesn't get distracted as much as people might normally be. Despite being a good listener, she is very fidgety, and can hardly sit still. That is why she loves taking hikes and walks; to keep herself moving. That, and of course taking photos. Another reason why she is a really good listener is because she is a huge nerd - she loves learning new things. If she thinks she might learn something from you, she'll be the best audience you can find. Oftentimes she will ask you to demonstrate what your explaining, so she could pick it up.

Background: When Ari was about 8 years old, her father walked out of her life. He announced that he couldn't take life like this anymore, and that he loved Ari and Sarah very much, but he wasn't in love with her anymore. Ari knew this would happen, she knew before he told her, because she could hear her mother crying softly, trying not to wake Ari up, and how he told her that he was gay, and couldn't fake it any longer. He also said how he just couldn't deal with Ari's little "fits", he called them, but he would still send money for child support and some for the doctor appointments.She watched as her mother tightened her grip on her, and became much more strict with her, trying to deal with being a single mother, and be the stable parent.

Trying to please her mother constantly, Ariel tried to do her best in her classes, and she got by with B's and C's, and her headaches and nightmares were getting worse. After so many times of being paralyzed with fear in the middle of class, her mother decided to home school Ari. This brought them closer, but Ari felt isolated, not able to be like a normal person.

She finally wanted to go back to public school, and her mom got a job, so Ari was allowed to go. It didn't matter to her that they moved away from Brighton, as she never really had friends anyway; constantly being with her mother.

She came to a different school now, with as much confidence as a mouse, but was getting much better grades now, A's, but it was clear that her strong point was writing. She was embarrassed at the fact that her writing was always being read in class, and always put her head low because she was made fun of. Still, her mother finally convinced her that it was a good thing, and she became much more happier, and it didn't bother her that people made fun of her for it, and soon it died away that the "new girl was a nerd". After graduating, she's lived here ever since.
