Glory Rossdale

Description:
5’9. 132 lbs. Blonde.

It’s sort of a surprise that Glory is 5’9. Both his parents and his sibling are well under 5’5. In addition, a long time ago, most people got to grow well over 5'5. But now, environmental changes and weak accessibility to nourishment has rendered most of Panem well-under 5'5. Even the rich ones.

Glory is athletic; you can see it right away in just the way he holds himself-even among his fellow career tributes at the training center of District 1. He’s blue-eyed, like many of the citizens of their district. Blue-eyed and blonde, with sharp facial features that oh-so-resembles their District’s chief exports. Yeah, that’s him. And the rest of District 1 in a nutshell. He doesn’t exactly have a 6-pack or anything, but he is quite tall, even among the fit. With blonde hair that is more white-blonde and blue eyes, he just fits in perfectly with the rest of his district. It's sort of weird when there is a bunch of blonde clones everywhere, no?

Personality:
Robotic would be a vaguely negative term altogether, but Glory is as emotional as one, just your typical Career brat. Even from the District 1 middle class he’s always had enough to eat. And while you see District 1 parents brag about their kids growing up to be victors, few actually have the guts to carry out their plans. One of the few is Glory’s parents. That’s why they were willing to pay for the fees included with the Training Center costs. Glory holds the title as king of denial. During the year before last years’, he was often flustered and would deny ever glancing at Suessa, the to-be-victor. During the last year’s, the same thing happened with Aimi, Dylan, Rani, and Callisin. He didn’t like them when they had their obvious significant others probably, and so he denies. (He isn’t exactly a good denier, either. He gets flustered, turns pink, and gets angry.)

Glory is rule-abiding and serious almost to a huge extent, and tends to get flustered when someone else calls him out for anything having to do with love. He works hard by the book, and is just that kind of person, who learns things fast, believing things are going to go wrong if they aren't what he predicts and then either panicking or getting frustrated. His mother told him that 15 was the bset year to volunteer, and look at where he is now. He is organized and slightly too much of a perfectionist, tending to clean up after people more than often when they leave messes around. He doesn't exactly get into 'fights' or scrimmages with his allies as some might, but he would only expect the best from them. He has a tendency to avoid people that he doesn't like, and he doesn't like a lot of people. He doesn't break promises, having been taught from a young age that it is the lowest of the low. He has trouble making decisions that are going to generally affect him in a long-term stance, but is rather talented...or just lucky...when presented with a short-term decision, he is more-often-than not successful in his decision. He is highly pessimistic, mostly due to the fact that this is Panem, and you'd infrequently see happy optimistic people. Unless you're Cimber Fuse, that is.

He's a good liar, and tends to ditch school, believing it as useless, as it is all about diamonds and mining and other useless things, despite all that good-guy background in him with his refusals to break promises and his eagerness to learn, and kills for reason, not for blood. He kills others because he wants to make it home to his family and bring pride to them. He is also logical and often gets 'frustrated' at people inside his head, not outside. He doesn't hesitate to kill smaller tributes or anything, as he is just too by-the-book to actually feel pity. He's observant, making the boy a good guard.

Glory likes to watch movies. He loves digging into the movie trunk and finding old Hunger Games tapes, or maybe just a nature documentary, or just your standard horror film. He's not easily scared, being a career and all. He tends to judge people a lot, and hates the type of people he would deem as 'pathetic'. He also knows when to speak up, but thinks before speaking.

Family:
Glory isn’t rich for a District 1 citizen, his grandmother works at the infamous jewel-cutter factory, leaving her older hands full of scars from over the ages. His grandfather was in the same factory, like many of the middle-class District 1 citizens. Unfortunately, he is now dead. Like how Glory may as well be when he plans to volunteer at the age of 15. (Which is sort of...you know...this year.) If you’re wondering, he’s been planning for at least a decade, ever since he saw the previous District 1 victor parade around with that much fame and money.
It was like jumping into a reality TV, and District 1 really isn't as rich as what other Districts thought of them. Almost no one has avox servants anymore, and Peacekeepers are cracking down on them to increase the amount of gemstones being manufactured more than ever. Becoming a victor would mean everything to a teenager from the richest District. Victors just had a whole different class to themselves, but they must know when to volunteer. Eighteen-year-old victors just sort of lost their charm around that time, you know? And twelve-year-olds-well, they have no hope of winning as it is.
Yeah, that's what he thought last year, of course-this year he has at least a more sophisticated point of view, and knows that now is the time to volunteer.
He has a sister, Glow-she's nineteen. She's a hardworking girl who tends to giggle a lot, prank friends, and likes to pass time daydreaming and teasing her little brother. Other than that, it's the parents, and then his grandmother.

Crush:
Yeah-he's had his fair share of crushes over the years, a pretty girl from school, maybe a nice female tribute from the Hunger Games-but he's too flustered and 'shy' to actually ask anyone out just yet.
