Matthew sighed, following the English teacher.

Sophies eyes widened as she walked after Matthew and the teacher. "Sorry!" She apologized immediately. Her dad would kill her if the English teacher called him.

At the principal's office..

Principal: "MATTHEW, YOU HAVE COME IN HERE TO MANY TIMES TO ACT LIKE IT'S NOTHING! DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW MUCH THESE TEACHERS WORK TO TRY AND HELP YOU LEARN THINGS YOU MAY NEED IN THE FUTURE?! FOR COLLEGE?! FOR A JOB?! NO! SO CLEAR UP YOUR ACT FOR A WEEK! THAT'S HOW LONG YOU WILL BE SUSPENDED! AND IF YOU COME BACK WITH AN ATTITUDE, YOU ARE GETTING EXPELLED! AND THEN NEXT YEAR YOU WILL BE FLUNKED!" I yelled. "And you Sophie! I'm calling your parents now!" I said, punching her dad's number in the phone and waiting for him to answer.

Mathieu rolled his eyes. "Weelll.... I don't know, can you?" he joked.

"Wait!" Matthew said. "It's my fault. Sophie did nothing. Don't blame her for things I did." Matthew looked at the principal, even though he didn't know what he did wrong.

Principal: "Oh really, Matthew? I got the conversation on tape!" I said, clicking play on a remote. A screen showed Sophie and Matthew talking about how they hated English. I hit stop and answered the phone as Sophie's dad spoke.

Sophie looked at Matthew admiringly,but she wouldn't let him take the blame. "No, that's not true."

Sophie's dad picked up the phone. "Hello?" he answered.

"Oh please. Can't she have an opinion about a book?" Matthew asked irritated.
