Diego sighed.
"You don't know anything about my brother." he said flatly.

Oh really? is what Lexi wanted to say, but she couldnt. "You're probably right..." she admitted, her gaze falling to the ground

Diego sighed as he put his game away.
"What do you expect from me? To be happy and all that stuff and pretend like everything is still the same?" he said softly.

[CatchingClouds]

Lexi closed her eyes as they filled with tears. "I just want you two to be happy..." she sighed quietly.

[Komaniac]

"Well, I'm sorry I'm not happy right now because I just heard my dad abused my brother!" Diego said irritated.

"How do you think I felt when I found out? Do you think I felt any worse or any stupider than you do? No," Lexi growled, looking up at him.

[Komaniac]

"I know probably half of his bruises or scars where meant for me." Diego said. "I know he has sacrificed himself to protect me."

Lexi was speechless. She wanted to just go up to her room and cry for hours but she knew Matthew wouldn't let her. "I'm sorry for bothering you..." she said quietly to Diego before calmly standing up and walking upstairs.

Diego looked at Lexi walking away and sighed.

Matthew was busy with making pancakes. He whistled happily as the pile of pancakes slowly grew bigger.

Lexi hit her head on her door a few times before walking into her room. She closed the door and locked it, sitting on her bed and hugging her knees tightly.
