Matthew sighed. "You know. Before you became cheerleader and populair." Matthew scratched his head.
"Let's say I don't want to break your heart in the way you broke mine." He looked back at her for a second and after that down at his coffee.

"And don't say I haven't tried to get you. I tried, but you were always surrounded with other boys since you became populair. You didn't even notice me. I blurred away into the group of other boys which where also close to you the whole time. I got tired of it, and decided to give up. I could better find someone else to give my attention to. Someone who would appreciate it."

Matthew looked out of the window.

"I even tried to get into the footballteam. Just so I could get closer to you. I know. It was insane to do. But I continued with my life. Discovered the skateboard, got a little bit of a troublemaker. After all. Why should I care about what happened? You didn't like me. If I died, you wouldn't probably even noticed it."

Bella: I stood up and said, "Matthew, if I could get away from those boys I would. Same now. And I am giving you the chance now. That's what I don't understand bout your side of the story. I finally get away from them and try to give you a chance, and after all this time, you finally decide you don't want me anymore... what is that for?" I start to walk to the door.

"Oh, please." Matthew said. "If you was in my shoes, wouldn't you have given up?"

Bella: I stopped, sighed, turned around, and said, "No, I wouldn't Matthew." I could feel faint tears coming up. I walked closer to the door.

Matthew looked at Bella.
"So, if I was surrounded with girls, giving them all more attention as you. I don't even notice you. I'm dating with other girls, right in front of your nose. I'm kissing them. Your heart wouldn't break? You won't give up? You won't go on with your life and try to forget everything?" he said. Pain showing in his eyes. "You just stay on the sideline and hope I'll ever get into you?"

I left Starbucks and went home. The next day, I went to school in an outfit other than my cheerleading uniform. My mom had just taken me to the mall and she made me get my hair dyed and get hair extensions, so now, I have long, brown hair.
