Foster woke up a few hours later, hyperventilating and covered in a sheen of sweat. His hands shook as he looked around the room, suddenly unsure of his surroundings. Moonlight filtered through the window high up on the wall, and his television was still going on one of the late night programs. Realization struck him like a train as he came to his senses. He ran a hand down his face, groaning. He'd woken up from one nightmare into another. Carding one hand through his hair, Foster took a deep breath to calm his nerves.

Recalling his nightmare, Foster shuddered. He'd relived the last moments before his father's death. He'd been young then, just starting his work on the farm. He'd been in charge of keeping the cattle in line, with help from the cattle dog they owned. She was an Aussie named Alpine. Alpine was at the heels of the cows, barking and biting at them when they stepped out of line. foster was herding them along, trying to corral them into the barn. One of them had spooked when another farmhand had dropped something, the whole group had turned and ran the opposite direction. Foster had hopped onto the fence, yelling the appropriate warning. "Stampede, up on the fences!" He had shouted as loud as he could, but his father hadn't heard him. They found him in the pasture in the herd's wake, barely holding on. Foster had cried, kneeling at his father's side and whispering "Daddy." over and over, but he couldn't do anything. Foster pulled himself back to reality, head hanging in his hands. He didn't do anything, it didn't mean he couldn't. He still blamed himself to this day.

Crystal walked out of her room yawning from the nap she had just taken she almost walked right into Zoey and Steven who where passing down the hall " hihi " she said smiling and waving to the both of them
