Skylar smiled at the girl and nodded, "Thank you." He took the clip board from her hands and scribbled down his sister's name and then his own name. Skylar stated on the form that neither had a horse - at the camp with them - much less in the United States. He walked up to the lady at the front desk and asked her: "Both me and my sister have horses, but they are back home in London. Is there any possible way we could borrow the stable's horses while we're here?"

Ava smiled and nodded at the boy. "Your welcome." She said quietly. She grabbed her suitcase and rolled it behind her to where she was staying. The place seemed pretty empty. She threw her purple suitcase onto the bed ad began to unpack. Most of the stuff she had packed was clothes and some horse supplies. She placed some of her books onto her side table. She was reading fantasy novels.

My parents truck made a sudden stop in front of the ranch house and as I climbed out of the back they hollered their goodbyes. I went around to the trailor and unloaded Copper, my pride and joy, before locking it back up and swinging myself on his back. He wore no saddle, but riding bareback for a short distance didn't bother me. I trotted towards the house, but as soon my parents drove off I made a beeline towards the pasture in an attempt to avoid the others. When I stopped him in the grassy field he snorted; all he wanted to do was run with me. "I can't, boy. How 'bout a small small?" I asked Copper and he answered by impatiently stamping his feet. I waited for him to calm down before sliding off his back and grabbing his lead. It was a blue and green rope that clipped to his harness and he would bring it to me whenever he felt like a walk. I will go to his stall to see him either trying to get it or its on the floor.

We begin our short walk around the pasture and house when all of a sudden Copper stopped dead in his tracks. I feared he might have spotted a snake or mouse, but was surprised when he did a nose dive into my pocket. Sugar cubes. I pulled one out and he didn't wait for me to open my hand palm up before he tried to nudge it open himself. He was soon given it after a bit of teasing and with a pat we walked on. Copper has this strange habit when we are walking side by side he will start pressing into me like his trying to move me over. He has always done it and I find it quite strange so we nicknamed it 'The Copper'. To get him to stop you have to give him a shove in the opposite direction and when he finishes pouting he will be back to normal.

I look up at the boy, a peice of my platenuim blonde hair curled around my fingers, then I smile at his question "Well, of coarse!" I smile and gesture down to the barn "if you will follow me, I can show you the horses that are availible, we also have a few horses from the slaughter houses being shiped in that we saved. They will be for sale as soon as they get settled in here." I walk out from behind the desk and call out the door "Cecilia!" I call out the door, and a tall dark girl with paler blonde hair that could be white, jog down the hill "what is it Aire?" She asks and I gesture to the desk "You need to watch over the desk since mom left and I need to show this guy a few horses we have. She rolls her eyes "Mom went down there because she will be giving all of them a tour" Cecilia puts her hands on her hips and looks at her older sister. I sigh "Oh..." I say sounding resigned "I guess we are having the tour first, so I will see you later" I smile flashing him my mouthfull of braces, then go back to the desk. Dispite me being seventeen, I always looked so much younger. I jump "Oh, I forgot!" I exclaim "Im Airesmee, but you can call me Aire, or what ever you feel apropriate" I shurg, and smile softly again.

"Thank you, Airesmee. I'm Skylar. So, where could I catch up with the rest of the tour?" Skylar set his suit cases down for a minute and flexed his fingers trying to shake the numbness caused from his fingers being curled around his suit case handles. When he had shaken the numbness from his fingers he pulled his beanie off, ran his hand through his hair and tucked it into his back pocket.

"nice to meet you Skylar" I say smiling, then I bite my lip, and look up at the painted ceilings and picture frames on the wall, my grey eyes turn back to him "well, I doubt that its started yet, but when it does I am pretty sure Ma will have it start down in the barn where everyone is right now." I cock my head then turn to Cecilia "Hey Cece, how about you man the ship, I'll go down and make sure everyone's settled in" I smile, and walk out from around the desk "lets go" I beckon the boy, and start out the door. Today I was wearing my 2010 Alltech World Equestrian Games sweater, over my 'ride like theres no tomarrow' grey shirt, my black Kerrits riding pants, and my Ariat boots that were now cracking at the sides they had so much use. "You comin'?" I ask, turning back to look at the boy

Skylar followed after Airesmee, "So, do you know how long this tour will be?" He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket, he pulled it out, turned it off and stuffed it back into his pocket hoping that she hadn't noticed him pulling it out. He didn't know whether or not she would take it the wrong way, thinking that it would be rude.

I chuckle lightly as the boy stuffs his phone into his pocket, after turning it off "You know its fine. I have had to deal with faaar worse kids" I say streaching out the word for emphasis. I shrug then slowl down to walk at his pace "it wont be long, Mom usually keeps things simple. She will show you where the simple things are, where you are sleeping, the Rising Star Stables diner, and all the corals, and feilds" I look out at the sprawling feilds for a moment, and a look of sadness passes over my face quickly before vanishing. I turn to him happy looking again, and walk into the barn "this is my mom" I say leaning up against a women. She was tall and willowy, with pale colored skin that seemed to glow under the terrible barn lighting, and her stomach was also extended, pregnant. She had sharp, light grey eyes, that matched her daughters, only with a head of black, wavy hair that was up in a tight critical pony tail. Her nose though, was small and innocent looking, making Aire and her mother look like they could be sisters other than thier hair. Kayleene smiled "Kayleene Starr, but you can call me Kay" dispite her haunted features, Kays whole face lite up when she smiled "Welcome to RSS!" She said and turned to me, "why are you down here?" she frowned and looked at her accusingly "I was bringing Skylar down, he was interested in looking at our horses because his ar ein London." I explained, patiently "And who is manning the front desk?" She asked her frown deepeding. I sigh and look at her "Cece is" she nods, then smiles again "where are the girls?" I ask, and she responds "With the sitter" I nod and dont say anything else
