I look around at all of the other kids. In another minute, we'll figure out which one of us the tribute is. I play with my hair nervously. "Ladies first, as always," I hear the woman announce. I cross my fingers as she twirls her hand around in the bowl. "The lucky lady is.... Kennedy Karson!", I hear. In shock, I just stand there. The other girls clear a path for me. The strange thing is, I was more afraid of getting up on the stage that the fact that I was most likely going to die. Despite that fact, I manage to stumble my way up onto the stage.
