Andrew slowly fell asleep. His mind was cleared when he did, but in the process of falling asleep a million things went through his mind. How was he going to keep a girl friend for longer than three days? And what in the world would her brother do to him if he broke her heart!? He felt guilty, but instead of forgetting about it he had a terrible nightmare that night.

Zander set the silverwear out and looked over the table at Mayson. She laughed,"Yeah, you have no idea," as she side glanced her father. She then said,"Go grab the sause and set it here," as she pointed to the middle of the table. She smiled at him and then looked in the kitchen to her father grabbing the noodles.

Amber slowly woke up the next morning. Her eyes fluttered open then she groaned as the sunlight was directed into her eyes. She rubbed them then slowly and carefully rolled onto her back. She looked around then up at the ceiling. Her ears picked up the sound of a clock going tick, tick, tick. Soon she was listening to the sound of a cart coming down the hall with her breakfast on it.

Mayson chuckled then stood up. He went into the kitchen and grabbed her fathers sauce. Soon after asking her father if he needed anything else, he came out into the dinning room and set the pot of sauce in the middle of the table. His gaze went to Zander and he smiled, "Now what?" He asked.

Zander sat down and nodded to a chair,"Now we wait. He'll be here soon with the noodles, and then we can start eating," she smiled. Her head then turned to the kitchen where her father was walking out with the pot of noodles. He set it by the sause and sat down, looking from Mayson to Zander and saying,"Dig in," with a smile. Zander took some noodles and sause and began mixing them happily. She loved spagetti.

Andrew woke when he heard a cart in the hallway. He sat up and yawned, streatching his arms, and then wiped his sleepy eyes. He looked at the clock and sighed, he would have to go to school soon... "Good morning Amber," he smiled at her.

Amber's gaze went from the hallway door to Andrew. She smiled sleepily, "Morning Andrew...Going to school soon?" I asked as the cart entered my room. The nurse raised my bed and i winced a little bit. The first thing she did before handing me my food was change my bandaging and check my wound. She said it was healing nicely and i'd be able to get out soon. For breakfast she handed us some pancakes with eggs and bacon.

Mayson sat down beside Zander and waited patiently for her father to come out with the noodles. His gaze turned to the kitchen when her father walked out. His stomach growled as the pot of noodles was set down by the sauce. He chuckled a little, "Sorry." He murmured as he put some noodles and sauce on his plate. He mixed the two together and began to eat.

Andrew nodded,"Yeah, I have to go to school soon," he sighed, pokeing at his breakfast and picking what he ate. He ate most of it before speaking again. "I'll be back right after football practice, and then if you'r able to get out I'll take you home," he explained his plan for the day. He goes to school, but it's not like he really does anything. Mostly he just sits in the classroom staring out the window or doodling in his notebooks.

Zander sat in the silent dinner room and hated the silence, so she was going to start a conversation, but her father beat her to it. "So Mayson, what do you plan on doing when you get out of school?" he asked the junior boy. He looked at him with his easy going eyes and had a small smile on his face, continuing to eat as he waited for the answer. Zander looked at her father, then to Mayson.

Amber listened to Andrew go on about his plans. She sighed as she poked at her plate of food, "Ok whatever floats your boat." With that she looked away and pushed her plate away. She laid down then wrapped her arms around herself. Her eyes went to the open window and out into the gorgeous mountains.

Mayson moved uncomfortably in his chair as the silence was becoming awkward. Thank god her father broke the silence. He smiled and shrugged, "Well if Zander and me are still together, hopefully i'll be spending a lot of time with her." He said looking into her dads soft eyes. His gaze soon shifted to Zander and his smile grew.

Andrew was confused. "What's wrong?" he asked as he looked at Amber. He set his plate down and leaned forward in his chair, looking at her totally confused. He thought to himself, What's up with her? Last night it was thanks, now it's sass? What happened, and why am I getting the cold shoulder?

Zander almost choked when he answered his fathers question, but she coughed and then swallowed. She blushed a little and laughed slightly, looking at her father. "Thats a... nice answer," He stated, shrugging and continuing to eat. He then said,"Zander, why don't you tell him your plans?" he suggested, looking at Zander with proud eyes. Zander slirped up a noodle and then wipped her mouth. She looked at her dad once more and he nodded approovingly, so she turned ot look at Mayson and smiled. "Well, I'm going to go into law enforcement.. Spesifically the CIA or FBI," she explained, feeling kind of rediculous.

Amber heard Andrews words and could guess what his mind was saying. Her gaze just stayed on the window as she shrugged, "Nothing, everythings just perfect." She lied easily as she hid the sarcasim from her words. She thought to herself, why did i even tell him about my dad? I mean he's going to come back and keep abusing me so why didnt i just deal with it? Now Andrew is going to get hurt because of me...

Mayson shrugged as he looked at her father again. When he spoke to Zander and his eyes showed pride thats when he looked to her with a questioning gaze. Her words shocked him yes but he was gonna support her and be happy...even if he never got to see her much, "Thats uh....nice. What about football?" He asked using an excuse to keep her near.

Andrew nodded and sighed,"Alright," as he stood, scratching his head. "I'll be back later then," he announced, turning and heading for the door. He knew he would have to get home before anything else, and then he would be late for school... You'd think a girl would be more greatful for everything he's done, and is doing.

Zander smiled,"Oh I'm staying in football till my senior year in high school... I don't think they allow girls in collage football, so my days in the game will be over once we graduate," she explained, happy to see that Mayson wasn't freaked out about what she wanted to do for a living. Her father nodded,"Yes, she'll stay in Football as long as she wants, but then she'll be following my footsteps to become an FBI agent," he smiled, pride still filled in his eyes.

Amber sighed as she heard him get up and walk to the door. She let her eyes fall to the floor then she looked out of the corner of her eye at him, "Thank you...for everything..." Her voice was a broken whisper. As her eyes closed slowly and a tear slipped out of the corner of her eye. Her mind was running with many disturbing and terrifying thoughts.

Maysons gaze was on Zander then at his clean plate. Her words, he knew, were true but they hurt him a little. Why did she want to leave him? Well that was a simply question, because she wants to get education to become an FBI or something... But still she didnt have to leave him. Her fathers words shocked him and he looked up at her dad, "Your an FBI agent?" He asked raising his eyebrow.
