Samantha led Joey's father into the room, and after some talking between them, Joey seemed to grow bored of his dad's lecture. She pretended to be focused on her clipboard, not facing them and tapping on it with the eraser of her pencil. Secretly, though, Samantha was snooping. By the way, there was no conversation of what Taylor had said to Mr. Smythe. "Doctor River," she heard Joey ask. The young adult turned around to face the patient, and pushed some blonde locks behind her shoulder. "Yeah?" she rested a hand on her hip. "I heard Taylor's in the playroom of the hospital with her sister. Mind if I go stop by and say hi?" Samantha hesitated, not sure how to respond to the question. She hated saying no, but she knew it was against the rules and was too soon after the accident for Joey to be walking around. But, then again, she thought about how Taylor was so set on riding in the ambulance with Joey. Couldn't he just say hi...? She looked over the major injuries he'd suffered from the accident. Left arm broken, right leg broken, along with his collarbone, some parts of his ribs broken, and cuts and bruises. As a whole, and with being a doctor, Sammy didn't find it too serious. Joey's father shot her a pleading look, as if begging her to say no. "...Fine," she sighed. "Don't tell anybody, though. I could loose my job for this, and I'm already on probation as a newbie." Joey grinned a bit lopsided, and Sebastian rolled his eyes.

Joey limped out of his hospital room, Sebastian blabbering next to him. "Texting while driving? And you tried reaching her six times? Joey, have you heard of pulling over?!?! You could've been killed! Honestly Joey, I know you're not doing very good in your classes, but I didn't know you were this brainless. What were you thinking? We already don't have your mom-" Joey got tired of listening to his dad rant. "Dad," he interrupted, wincing, "am I dead, though? No. And honestly, I don't know if we need to bring mom into this conversation." Silently, he thanked his dad for one thing in that lecture, though. Thanks for not bringing up Dylan. Dylan, his brother who was in another car crash with his mom when he was 1 month, Joey figured pretty much rattled his dad. After all, after having a wife change to the worse side and your first son dying, Joey did feel sympathy for his dad. "Yeah, but things could have turned out a lot differently, Joey." Samantha glanced back, hushing the two guys. Joey smirked slightly, amused that their conversation seemed to be drawing attention. Don't patients always have conversations? But then, the reason of her hushing them cleared up some. Taylor was in the play area, lightly singing to her sister. Before she could spot him, he limped over behind her, trying to be as silent as possible. But, with a crutch, that was kind-of hard. The teen set his support on the ledge, also resting his good hand on it to support himself. "'Sup, Tay?" he said, hoping to surprise her somewhat.
