Seth sat at a table in the Lima Bean on his own, not particularly doing anything. A good bruise was below his left eye, a little swollen and very dark. He payed no mind, though he knew his father's beatings were to blame for the cause.

Adalayne took her latte and turned around. Wow. There were no empty tables. She saw the Warblers and the New Directions but didn't want to get into what was going on between them. She saw a guy named Seth sitting along and walked up to him.

"Hey. You don't mind if I sit here do you?" Adalayne said.

Seth looked up at the girl with his hazel-brown eyes. "I-I don't mind," he replied. He felt shyness creep into him as usual when he was around someone else, his cheeks turning a little pink.

"Great thanks! All the other tables are full. You go to my school don't you! I knew I reconginized you somewhere!" Ada said as realiztion hit her.

Seth nodded. "Yeah, I do," he said in his soft, quiet voice. "What's your name?" he had seen this girl around before, but never spoken to her.

"Adalayne but you can call me Ada. Your Seth right?" Ada asked smiling as she was sitting next to him. She sipped her latte and played with her long curly hair.
