"Sounds good to me." he said smiling. He walked towards the the exit.

She got outside, walking next to him. "What do you wanna talk about?" She asked.

"Let's talk about boys!" he said in a girly voice then laughed. "I don't know." he held Whiskers in one hand petting him with his thumb.

Layla hesitated, turning to face him. It started to pour rain, but she didnt care. "Boys? Okay. So your the cutest boy ever and Ive loved you since 7th grade but I've been too scared to admit it and I really like you and today was amazing and I love your eyes and your hair and your personality... I love you." She was soaking wet.

Whiskers clawed at his hand when it started raining so he put him in his jacket pocket. He was shocked. His mouth hung slightly open for a moment before he grabbed her face gently and kissed her. He was getting drenched but he really didn't care; it was the best moment ever.

Her eyes were open for a slight second, but she closed them once their lips met.

He had his eyes closed holding the kiss. He slowly pulled away, keeping his eyes closed, and leaning his forehead on hers. "I really wish you'd have told me sooner."

She smiled gently. Layla wrapped her arms around him in a tight hug.

He smiled hugging her back tightly. He then let go of her and picked her up, and grabbed their bags. He walked back into the mall and took her to a table in the food court sitting her down in a seat. "I wouldn't want you to get a cold." he said with a smile, water dripping down his face. He slipped Whiskers out of jacket pocket drying him off with his shirt, smiling to himself.

Lyra sat down silently at a table in the mall, listening to all of the surrounding sounds. Eventually, a young couple landed at the table next to hers, and she smiled slightly, intently listening to their conversation as her eyes wondered into a dark nothingness.
