Layla sat on the bench, pulling her sketch pad from her bag. She then took out a pen and pencil, next a picture she had taken. She sat with her legs crossed. The picture was on her knee and the sketch pad in her lap. She lightly started to sketch the picture she had taken. For some reason, drawing the pictures she took made her a better photographer. In 30 minutes, she stopped sketching and brushed the eraser shaving from the picture. She smiled. One of my best peices. Layla thought to herself.

(Sure, posted my starter post, so maybe they can run into eachother at the park?)

Austin slid his jacket on the grabbed Whiskers. He smiled and kissed his head holding him gently in his hand. He opened the door and walked outside. He decided to head down to the park. He walked towards the park, smiling and pettin Whiskers the whole time. He got to the park and sat down on a swing sitting Whiskers in his lap. He laughed lightly as whisker played with the strings hanging down on his jacket.

Layla looked up from her drawing, seeing Austin and Whiskers. She smiled, laughing to herself. All through 7th and 8th grade she had been in love with Austin, but not anymore really. He was still a good friend.

He looked up seeing Layla. He instantly smiled. "Layla!" he said picking up Whiskers and walking over to her. "Sorry! I hadn't seen you. How's it going?" he asked with a smile.

Layla smiled, scooting over to make space for him on the bench. She covered her picture because everyone always said how good she was but she was a very modest person. "Hey!" She smiled. "Whatcha been up to?" She was so happy it was a Saturday; really needed a break from school and stuff. Layla itched Whiskers head, Whiskers had always loved her.

He seen her cover her picture up. He slid the notebook out and looked at it smiling. He just handed it back to her not saying anything, knowing how much she hated when people complimented her drawings. "Nothing much really. Being a loser as usual." he said with a small laugh. "How about you?" he asked holding Whiskers out so Layla could keep petting him. Whiskers closed his eyes and begun purring.
