Keith chuckled out of a loss of words. He shook his head and moved his hand away "Thats bad" he said pointing to it. "When you said you had a small bruise i was thinking a 'you bumped your knee on the coffee table' sized bruise not that"

Carter looked up at him shyly. "More like ran into a brick wall, huh? "She tried to humor him and drive him away from his worry, though she did have to admit it felt wonderful to have someone care about her again, even just for a small- or big - bruise.

Keith chuckled again, but this time was out of humor. "Carter, what am i gonna do with you" he said with a smile and shook his head.

Carter shrugged, though it hurt a little. She wanted to say love me, hold me, though she had no idea why. Was she ghat drawn to him already? But the words that came out were "No idea " and Carter lowered herself in the water again.

Keith chuckled and shook his head once more. "I might just have to keep you locked up in my room away from all the danger" he said in a teasing way but a part of him was serious.

Though she tried her best, Carter couldn't hide the smile that grew on her face as he said that. "Maybe you will " She said, taking his hand once more, this time on purpose, and pulling him a bit further into the water.

Keith smiled and took hers into his. "Maybe" said with a chuckled as he slowly began to move into the water.

As she made her way further into the water, she slipped on a moss -covered rock, but quickly recovered. "False alarm " Carter laughed, now thinking he was right about the whole locking her up thing.

Keith went to catch her up saw she had it and chuckled a little. "I think i really am gonna need to lock you up" he said with another soft chuckle.

So thankful that he was easy -going, she smiled at him, then looked up. The sun was beginning to set, and her smile faltered. "I think ... I think we have to get back soon " she said, not wanting to.
