Jerome sighed as he finished cleaning up the spilled dishes. He glanced at the clock. His shift was over. Not bothering to go into the break room, he left his apron on the hook in the kitchen and slung his bag over his shoulder. He walked out of the diner and started towards the park. He always walked through the park on his way back to the house.

Josh chuckled, and followed her in. He licked his lips, and went up to the counter.

Lorena went up to the counter of the shop and looked at all the flavors of ice cream. "I want cookie dough!" she told the cashier, who nodded and took Lorena's money. Lorena turned to Josh. "What are you gonna get?" Lorena asked him.

Josh thought for a moment, "I'll get the same thing" he gave the cashier some money, and waited for their ice-cream.
