Jayde leaned on him and pointed east. "Its behind a small waterfall." She said, holding out her arm for Astatine to perch on. The bird swooped down and landed on her outstretched arm, handing her the dagger. Sheathing it, Jayde started to limp forward.

Jared wrapped his arm hesitantly around her waist so that she wouldn't fall. He helped her over to the water fall, making sure she stayed on her feet. When they got there he looked at her. He wasn't quite sure how she would get up there, but he would leave the decision up to her.

You need to toughen up and not use fire to keep warm, you get used to the conditions if you allow yourself to do so. And I never said I ate raw meat, I'm not vulgar like some cannibal. I cook it, but without the means of fire. Your own body can also tell you those things, are you so ignorant of yourself that you have to rely on fire when your body can lready naturally do those things? All you hve to know is how to listen to yourself. So you don't need fire, you still haven't given me one good answer. Oh and I thought your monkey would be your comfort? Or is it just a toy for you to play around with for a while before throwing it away? A useless stupid animal? Is that what you think of your friend?" said Clairna, getting angry over the fact that this girl found a chemical reaction more comforting than a living, breathing thing such as her monkey.

Primrose scowled at the girl. "You wouldn't understand why i have fire. You've made that obvious. but then again, I don't see why you need such a weapon, or animal." She said indicating to the tiger. "And for your information, I do not count Pedro as a comfort. Pedro is family. And i know from experience that family is as much a liability as it is a strength. Therefore I'm not stupid enough to call it a comfort. A comfort is a teddy - lightweight doesn't need any upkeep, something you can look at and see an eternity of memories. Do you class your Tiger as a comfort? I don't see why. It's too big to hide for one. She could easily severely hurt you without meaning to. How much does a tiger eat? A lot. How much exercise does it need? A lot. How much waste? A lot. That's not a comfort. I can do that with my flame, as well as have it tell me a lot more, than my body can. On top of all that, it cooks my food in a way that i enjoy, And I'd appreciate if you'd just leave it at that. I don't take your things, you don't take mine." She shook her head and looked around.
She then turned back. "Oh and i can't be much younger than you. I'm fifteen, I just look younger" She said, trying to still be angry but actually finding it quite hard.

Zane grinned slightly. He stood up and glanced at her. "I cold show you if you want." He picked up his crossbow and took an arrow. He then carefully stepped into the lake and watched the water. After several secondsof his standing still, silent in the water, he suddenly lunged with the arrow. He came up with a large rainbow trout. He took it off the arrow and dropped it on the ground with a triumphant grin, ignoring the water all over him.

Katelyn watched with amusement as he stepped into the water, and then she brushed her hair out of her face and began to play with it. And then, she jumped a little bit as she heard him release the arrow. She looked up, and then a fish was dropped. The fish was a beautiful combination of colors, and she smiled. "Impressive." She stated, and then she looked up at him.

Jayde whispered to Astatine before having him fly through the waterfall. She waited until the bird appeared to her left, walking around the water. "Good boy." She limped through the rushing water and sat down gratefully in her old home. She then remembered that she had left her tiger skins and food in the limestone cave that she and Blake had stayed in during the hurricane. "Damn." She got up to go retrieve them. "Make yourself at home..." She said to Jared as she hobbled past him.

Blake sighed again, noticing that Kateyln had left yet again. He shrugged. Atleast he had caught some fish for himself. He looked down the river at Fang, and sees that she had gotten quite a bit of fish herself. He smiled, and whistled loudly. Fang pricked her ears, started to run over, then turned back to grab her fish. He suddenly wondered how he woudl carry all of the fish. He looked at the vine he had cut earlier,a nd got an idea.

"ok" Jared replied. He looked around and saw that there was only slight flood damage, probably because of the water fall. And it was onlthat the cave was soaked. He pit his stuff down and looked around the bare cave, taking in all of its features.

"No, I don't understand why at all. Well you have even less reason to have a monkey, it's an animal too I'll have you know, but with less usefulness when on this particular island. Don't you find family comforting? A comfort is not a teddy, a comfort is when your mum gives you a hug and kiss goodnight and you know your safe, a comfort is when you know someone cares about you no matter what happens or what you do, a comfort is when you know you have enough food and water for the next few days, a comfort is when you have an ally to help you or an animal to help you a comfort is when you have someone to talk to at any time. Basically a comfort is when you feel special or wanted or safe or secure or loved or looked after or prepared for what is about to happen next or having enough food to stay alive." she paused to catch her breath.
"That's a comfort." she paused agin to cut off a bit more meat and pack it away in the bag she then turned to Primrose again, "That's not true, yes they eat a lot, but they eat everything, brains, intestines, bad meat, everything, all the offal and such that we can't or won't eat. They actually don't need any more exercise than a border collie does, two or threehours free run, and hour walk two hours play and an hour training time at least. That's not much, your monkey actually requires a lot more exercise and food than my tiger does, once you count the size and wieght of an animal into the equation. So if anything, you just contradicted yourself as you have a much more wasteful pet than I do. I can't be bothered arguing with you about the importance of fire anymore so I guess I'll be silent about the fire thing for now, but don't say I didn't warn you when you're dead because you didn't have any more matches to make a fire." Clairna said to the girl, she then held out the box of matches.
"Here's your matches back, didn't notice I took them did you? I took them to prove a point of not letting your guard down and defending your beliefs. You did defend your beliefs quite well so I now reward you by giving them back. Don't worry I didn't take any out. I wasn't just talking about your age or looks, there are other components which make you older as well, until you master those things I will call you a child." she then smiled at the girl pleased with the girl's actions for the moment.
"Oh and I won't be attacked on accident or hurt on accident. Yasei, come battle!" said Clairna, Yasei growled at her and made to pounce, Clairna just smiled at the girl, in the last secound she whirled around and used her scabbard to hold Yasei's paw away at the same time she'd moved to the left. She jumped up into the air and landed gracefully quite a far way away. "Yasei that's enough." said Clairna, the white tiger then sat down and proceeded to wash her fur.
Clairna walked back to the girl, Primrose, "See? She only attacks if I command her to or I've been attacked by someone, she never attacks anything otherwise. She's completely under my control plus she's the sensible one, I'm more likely to accidently hurt her than for her to accidently hurt me, she is the calm one." said Clairna smiling at the girl still.

Jayde put her hand on a nearby tree to catch her breath after an hour of limping. I don't remember it being this far away... She frowned and pushed off the tree, hobbling a bit further. When she finally reached the cave, she sighed in relief when she caught a glimpse of her stuff inside. The girl crawled in, wincing when her leg protested, and grabbed her tiger skins that held the food. Her nose wrinkled when the stench drifted out. "Disgusting... all of my food is probably rotten... And I'll have to wash the skins...." She turned and trekked back to the waterfall.
