Zane said nothing for a moment. "Pulaski, Georgia. How 'bout you?" He glanced at her, adjusting his hat slightly. Eva trotted over to him and sat down, leaning against him.

Katelyn sighed, "Los Angeles, California. Wasn't very exciting if you ask me.. I mean there was a lot of beaches.. And cute guys but nothing else really." She said, watching as he fixed his hat. "Can you speak any different languages? I can speak Spanish too." She smiled, awaiting his reply.

Zane shrugged. "I know some German and Dutch. My dog's trained in those languages, so I decided I'd learn 'em a bit." He shrugged again and glanced at Eva. She looked back at him with her ears perked up alertly, waiting to see if he was going to command her.

Katelyn smiled, amused at how nicely trained Eva is. "She's trained very well. Anyways, are you hungry?" She asked, looking him in the face now. It was official, she was crushing. Katelyn was blushing so she looked away quickly, her heart was also thumping. It was hard to admit, but she did have a crush. But, he would never feel the same about a city girl..

Zane cracked a half grin. "Yeah, kinda." He took off the duffel bag, dropping it on the ground and unzipping it. He took out some of the squirrel jerky. He gave some to Eva and Raina, then offered some to Katelyn with a faint grin.

Katelyn took it gladly, she was starving. "Thanks, Zane." She smiled a little bit and then took a small bite from it, eating it daintily. She didn't want to look like a messy eater around Zane. "So, uh, how are you liking it here on this island?" She asked several moments later after she had finished chewing and swallowing.

Zane shrugged, glancing around at his surroundings. "It's okay..but it ain't very realistic if you think about it. Imean, there ain't supposed to be deer out here!" He sighed and rolled his eyes slightly, taking a bite of jerky.

Katelyn nodded, "Yeah, I agree.. But at least we have food." She shrugged, looking down once again. She only liked this island because she met him and found her sister. But now, she was growing annoyed by this. The people here were always angry and wanting to fight.

Zane shrugged. "Yeah, I guess so.." He lookedaround a bit more, chewing on the jerky. He glanced over at Katelyn, his eyes pausing on her face for a moment before he looked away. She was pretty..well, um..for a city girl, of course.. He shook his head slightly, clearing his mind.

Katelyn looked up at the sky, then feeling eyes on her for a split second but she pretended not to notice. What did he think of her? She wondered if he felt the same way about her. She asked him, now it was obvious she noticed him glancing at her.
