Katelyn watched, wondering what he would make Ruffian do next as she stroked Eva's head. Ruffian walked along obediently, soon growing hungry so she halted and would not move. She jerked her head and grabbed Zane's hat and started to nibble on it. Katelyn watched in amusement, this probably wouldn't end well..

Zane suddenly stopped as the mare took his hat. His dusty brown eyes flared in anger. He slowly turned to face the mare. "And what do yo think you're doin'?"he growled, fury vibrating through his voice. He roughly took his hat back and jerked the mare's bridle forward. "Come."he snarled, pulling her with him as he walked.

Katelyn watched, noticing how angry Zane got. She also noticed his eyes light up with anger. She figured this would be a great time to stop. She abruptly stood up and walked over, "I think it's time we took a break.." She said as she took the broken reins gently from Zane's hands. "Let's take a walk to the lake and get some water." She said, turning to look into Zane's angry eyes.

Zane stiffly released his hold on the mare's bridle. He took a deep breath and muttered,"Okay.." He sighed and stuck his hat back on his head, not liking it when people saw his hair. Although it was only Katelyn and her sister, he still didn't want his hair visible.

Katelyn nodded slightly, jerking the reins a little bit to get Ruffian ready to walk, "Let's go." She said softly, and then taking the lead to the lake. Ruffian was probably thirsty by now, causing her stubbornness. Actually, Katelyn kind of wanted a chance to sit down and actually talk to Zane about things and hope to get know him a little better. "Maybe we could eat something too so we don't get moody easily, because I get wicked moody when I'm hungry." She stated, a little giggle at the end of her sentence. As she walked next to Zane, she thought again about how short she was. She didn't make direct eye contact with him, as she was shy.

Zane nodded shortly. He adjusted his hat and slung his duffel bag back over his shoulder, his crossbow over the other. He whistled sharply for Eva and Raina. The German shepherd bounced to her paws and trotted after him. Raina bounded after the dog, pouncing at her long tail.

Katelyn nodded, noting Zane wasn't very talkative. She leaned over, "You okay?" She asked as they approached the lake, and she got close until she sat down. She felt bad about leaving Blake still, but she hadn't seen or heard from him for a while. He probably found something better to do at this point. But, before they sat she just wanted to know if Zane was alright.

Zane shrugged. "I'm fine.."he sighed. He glanced back at Eva and Raina. Once making sure they were there, he sat down on the banks by the lake. He stared intot he water for a moment, adjusting his hat.

{ Hey I probably won't be on for a little bit. Starting third trimester, I made the bad choice to be a slacker. So I'm going spend a lot of time doing make-up and extra credit work. My advice to you: do your homework. }

Katelyn nodded, then she sat next to him. She also looked at herself in the reflection of the water, then she made eye contact with Zane and quickly moved away. "So, where were you born Zane?" She asked, picking her head up to look him in the face.
