Zane quickly stepped out of the way. He skowled at Ruffian and snapped threateningly,"No, don't you dare!" He glanced at Katelyn as she asked him that. "You need to get it used to the halter and bridle first/ And you need to get it to know the basic commands."

He glared at Jayde before pushing the boy's blade aside, he limped over to his corner of the cave and laid on the elk hide. Then ever so carefully he pulled the arrow out, grunting slightly. He tossed the arrow back to Jayde, eying the bird carefully. He went through his food stash pulling an apple out, he glared at Jayde and took a bite of the apple.

Katelyn nodded, watching and trying to understand. Ruffian flung her head back and forth, not liking the bridal anymore. Soon, the rope to the bridal snapped, and she nickered in satisfaction, yet she did not try to run away. She was just messing with Zane. Katelyn couldn't help but giggle a little bit. "She just wants to mess with you it looks like." Katelyn pointed out, as if it wasn't already obvious.

Jayde caught the shaft before it clattered to the floor and glared at Alex. She picked Astatine up and let him hop onto her shoulder before carelessly dropping the bloodied arrow into her quiver. She backed into the wall and slid down to the cave floor and pulled her pant leg up, inspecting her wound. It was bleeding again and she hissed as the fabric peeled off the sticking, oozing gash.

Zane rolled his eyes tempermentally. He roughly reached up and took hold of the bridle. He pulled her head sharply down, growling,"No." He held her head down with his strong arms, no longer friendly towards the horse, entirely dominant over her. It was obvious he'd no longer tolerate the mare's antics.

Katelyn watched as he corrected her once again. Now Ruffian was growing annoyed, so she finally decided to obey for now. She stood there, and her eyes grew less "active." Now she would listen unless she got bored. "Seems like she will listen to you now." Katelyn stated as Ruffian calmed down overall, but who knows when she would act up all over again.

"She'd better.."Zane muttered grouchily, annoyed by the mare. He eyed her and held tight to the bridle. "Come."he commanded firmly, jerking the bridle and making her walk with him. Eva sat and watched him, finding it interesting to watch a horse being trained.

Katelyn sat down next to Eva and pet her head gently and hoping she wouldn't get attacked. Ruffian followed with great annoyance, as she was snorting and stomping as she walked. Ruffian then moved her head away from Zane, not wanting to look at him now. Katelyn watched, studying Zane as he walked with Ruffian. He was very cute, was she developing a crush? No.. it wasn't a crush.. but there was something there.

Zane eyed Ruffian as he walked. He muttered,"Easy girl.." Eva sniffed Katelyn as she petted him. She glanced at her master, sensing no tenseness towards Katelyn. She waved her tail slightly, deciding Katelyn wasn't any danger.

He walked through the forest, with a vine hanging off his arm, he glanced side to side every so often. He kept walking until he came to the clearing, he crouched down peering over a shrub, he grinned seeing a herd of horses, he scanned the hooved creatures, until he round the one. A stallion, and a beautiful one at that. He slowly crept towards the herd, the stallion lifted its large broad head and turned to face Derek, his ears perked forward he went back to calmly grazing. Derek let out a breath and crept forward more, he tied a knot in the vine making it a lasso, he stalked forward and the horse lifted its head once more, Derek jumped up and threw the lasso around the horses neck. The others bellowed and raced off, but the stallion reared and bucked, Derek tightened the lasso and waited for the horse to calm down. The horse flared its nostrils and and raised his head, Derek calmly stood up and walked toward the horse, the horse raised its head but kept calm.
