Derek turned and saw Callie on the ground. He gasped, and took a step back, looking horrified. "I...I...I didn't...mean to..." He whispered, his voice hoarse. "I just...ran...I couldn't take it! I couldn't take the fighting! I'm sorry!" He cried, his eyes wide with fear. He knelt beside her, and started digging in his bag for any medicine. He found none. Instead he took out his water and went to clean her wounds.
