Alec shrugged slight watching Slater as he walked back to them and sat down. The preacher started talking again looking straight at Alec. He clenched his jaw and adverted his eyes knowing what the guy was doing. He laced his fingers with hers and squeezed her hand as the funeral was over and everyone was walking by one last time.

Sydney returned the squeeze and glanced over at Alec. "How come the preacher wouldn't stop looking at you?" she asked quietly. She watched as everyone started to leave and waved to Julie.

"He want's to mess with my head," Alec whispered. "Cemetary?" He called out to Jessie watching him nod. He clenched his jaw and slowly walked towards his car, opening the door for Sydney and closed it after her sliding the keys out of his pocket and got into the drivers side putting the keys into the ignition and turned on the car putting on his seat belt.

Sydney got in the car and buckled. "So are we going to the cemetary now?" she asked him. She noticed that he was still tense and reached out and touched his cheek gently. "Hey, it's ok, alright?"

Alec nodded, moving his hair up off of his forehead. He sighed softly backing out of the parking-lot heading towards the cemetary.

Sydney stared out the window as Alec drove them to the cemetary. She wished there was someting she could say to make hi feel better, but she couldn't think of anything. She looked over at him and smiled faintly

Alec could tell that she was trying to make him feel better. "I'm fine Kitty. That's my pet name for you," he said with a small smirk. He pulled up behind Jessie's car with the other long line of people and unbuckled his seat-belt turning off the car. He sat there for a minute collecting his thoughts before opening the door.

"Do I look like a cat to you?" she asked, laughing softly. She got out of the car and stood there. Suddenly she was overwhelmed with the memory of the last time she was here. She put her hand against the car to steady herself. She really missed her dad.

"Maybe. You can be very feisty when your mad," Alec said with a small smile that fell when he saw her steady herself. He swallowed the own emotions stirring inside him and walked over to her sliding his arms around her hugging her, resting his chin on her head hoping to offer some comfort.

Sydney hugged him back. She rubbed at her eyes and pulled back. "I'm fine. Don't worry about me," she said, trying to smile. She didn't want to make this harder on him.
