Sydney laughed softly as she hugged Jessie back. When he pulled out the video camera, she rolled her eyes and smiled. "C'mon," she said quietly as she took Alec's hand again. It was nice to be around friends without having to worry about anything. She just hoped it would last.

Alec smirked, lacing their fingers together. As they walked across the meadow and down a trail towards the carnival he swung their hands talking quietly with her. He could hear the guy's murmur of conversation behind him as they neared the carnival.

"It was nice to see Julie again," she told him quietly, trying to come up with something to talk about. She pulled his jacket tighter around herself and smiled. She was excited and she was having a hard time containing the feeling

"Hey Alec! If I give you ten dollars will you get on the dunking booth?" JJ called out laughing. Alec smirked and called out sure back with a small shrug. "Yeah, it really was. What do you think the kids back in my neighbor hood will do now for food? There's no more trading market, and the local stores are clearly out of option. Half of them are too weak to go out and get the mail," he whispered quietly, concerned for the local kids.

Sydney looked at him, concerned. "I honestly don't know Alec. But we'll try to help them. In any way we can," she told him, squeezing his hand reassuringly (spelling?)

Alec nodded, swinging their hands lightly as they reached the ticket booth. He paid for them and got a little bracelet and a whole bunch of tickets for the rides. "What do you wanna do first?" he asked. Surprisingly, it wasn't that crowded but it was a huge hang-out at night.

"I have no idea. There's so many options. Umm.. I've always wanted to ride on a ferris wheel," she told him, smiling. She put on her bracelet and squeezed his hand, smiling up at him

Alec kissed her cheek gently. "To the ferris wheel," he said as they started walking towards the ferris wheel. "Hey Alec! Remember this?" Devon called out with a small smirk, pointing to a dragon ride. "Yes," he called back and shuddered at the memory. "Kate pulled me into there. It was sweltering in there and she spun us around faster and faster for ten minutes before it had even begun. I couldn't raise my head up without feeling all light-headed. It was awful," he complained quietly to Sydney.

Sydney laughed softly. "She's adorable," she said, smiling up at him. She had blushed when he had kissed her, even though it was just on her cheek. A faint red still colored her cheeks as she walked with him to the ferris wheel.

Alec handed the guy tickets for both of them and stepped up, Jessie and Devon following them. "Chickens," Alec called to JJ and Ty. "You choose," he whispered to Sydney, gesturing his hand to all of the empty seats.
