"Poor Alec." Sydney muttered. Just then she heard Alec outside. But she still had one more question. "Julie, how do you think he feels about me?" she asked nervously.

Julie nodded agreement, and smiled. "Doubts, huh? Well, this may not answer your question completely, but if you could see the way that he looks at you, most girls would kill to be you."

Alec walked in and Julie sighed, raising an eye at his busted lip. He shrugged.

"Hey, Carl spent the last two months fixing up your bike and your car. You ever gonna get back out there?" Julie asked.

Alec looked at her sharply, and shook his head no. "If the president himself came up to me and gave me a million dollars to try again, I still wouldn't."

Sydney got up and walked over to him. "What happened to your lip?" she asked, taking hold of his hand.

"I sorta got into a fight with one of Slater's little followers." He shrugged casually.

Sydney chuckled and shook her head "Of course you did." she said. "Thanks for everything Julie." She called over her shoulder as she and Alec slowly began to leave.

"You're welcome sweetie! Be careful Alec!" Julie called after them.

"If that'll make you sleep at night," He yelled back. "Do you mind if we go and see your mom? She said she'll looking to my mom's files and see what's wrong with her as she clearly won't tell me herself."

"Yeah, that's fine. She should be home by now." Sydney said, squeezing Ale's hand reassuringly. "But i do want to eventually meet your mom." she said, smiling.

"That's good," he said driving towards her house. "I'm amazed she let you leave. Half the time she'll talk your ears off. I've spent many years haggling over trades with her only to get her to start talking and not stop."
