"Ok," I said smiling at her. "Careful not to burn yourself." I walked over to her stuff with her and stood there watching her for a bit. "Danielle?" I asked her nervously.

Danielle

She put sunglasses on, a bit of sunblock, and got her surfboard. She laid down underneath an umbrella, on a lawnchair. "Yes?" she answered.

I gulped and said, "Do you want to do this again tomorrow? But, just the two of us?" I looked down, dreading that she might say no.

Danielle

She smiled. "Of course! I absolutely LOVE the beach. I would love to go again with you." she said and laid back.

A sigh of relief escaped my mouth. "Ok cool," I said. "Do you want me to pick you up around... noon?"

Danielle

She smiled. "Sure. I will be at the skate park." she said, enjoying the sun.

"Alright," I said smiling widely. "Sounds good. I'd better go, so I'll see you then." I waved and walked away to find Logan with a huge smile on my face.

It was almost noon and I had all my stuff ready. I got my both my boards, my swimsuit, and two bags of a mini lunch for later this afternoon.

I'm proud of James. For one thing, he's smiling again! For another, he made friends with Danielle all by himself. He never really needed my help.
