Jason sighed and got up and walked towards an empty desk next to his 'pair' grabbing his backpack and pencil. Why did he even join this class? Oh yeah, to meet chicks, but this girl was not the one he wanted to paired up with. "So...how are you, Chris?" He asked smirking looking at her. She wasn't all that ugly, quite attractive, but she wasn't his type at all. Jason knew she was probably going to snap back at him or keep silent since he had called her 'Chris'. It was a nickname, nicknames were supposed to be weird.

Shain looked around as she entered the class. She wasn't sure what to do with her time since she was early and didn't know anyone. She let out a sigh as she sat down but remained silent. She saw others talking but didn't attempt to talk with them. Talking with others she didn't know scared her. She was never talkative. She preferred to be unnoticed because she gets really nervous and red when she's noticed. Speaking of nervous she was about to die from it since she knew today she would be paired and didn't really like talking to guys.

Christina waited quietly, taking a deep breath to help her relax before they had to start. She glanced up as Jason walked over and called her 'Chris', a name which she used to be called teasingly. Cristy despised this name, but managed to keep a straight face. "I'm fine, thanks for asking, Jace." It was a bold move, but she didn't want to give him the idea that she was intimidated in any way whatsoever. Christy tried to ignore the smirk on his face. If she could rid him of the smirk, he might be a little easier to work with. "Thanks for remembering my name, it was really nice of you." she added, a hint of sarcasm in her voice. Cristy pondered on how he would react to her words. Not only had she called him Jace, but she had replied with sarcasm in her voice, something quite odd for her.

Logan stood from his seat, holding his backpack over one shoulder and heading towards Shain, his partner. He was excited to be her partner, having met her once before and deciding she was going to be fun to talk to, even if she was bit shy. He stood before the girl, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Hey, I'm Logan." he said, offering his hand to her calmly. He gazed at Shain with bright, yellow green eyes, which danced with color.

Jason smirked as he heard Chris call him Jace. "I actually like that nickname unlike someone right in front of me." He said with a grin. Jason leaned back into his chair and tapped his pencil against his notebook. "No problem, Chris, it was my pleasure." Sarcasm was in Chris' voice and she seemed to be a quiet and reserved girl. He would have to find the other side of this girl if he had to be with her.

Shain looked up at the boy that approached her. She turned slightly red and held out her hand to him. "Hi..." She whispered almost inaudible as looked back down. She knew him from somewhere but she wasn't quiet sure where. She let out a sigh as her face finally returned to normal color and looked to the boy with a semi forced smile. He was her partner for the rest of the year and she would have to deal with him. He didn't seem bad but this was only the greeting. "So um..." Shain said trying to spark up a conversation but it died before it even started.

Christina narrowed her endless midnight blue eyes as she gazed at him. "I'm sure it was." she said, seeing he hadn't cared much about the nickname. She wondered if he actually liked the nickname or he was just faking it, like herself. "And besides, who said I didn't like it?" Cristy asked, tone somewhat defensive. Great, 30 seconds with him and he's already getting on my nerves. she thought. Or maybe, she was just too sensitive. She considered this thought briefly, but decided she would come back to it later, when she wasn't busy trying to choose the right words to talk to him. She hated how easy the words came to him, while she had to choose her words carefully. Just that alone proved she was far too sensitive for her own good.

"I've met you before." Logan said after shaking her hand lightly, seeing she was having trouble starting a conversation. "In math class, right?" he asked, openly asking what she thought. It was typical Logan to do so, always asking the opinions and thoughts of others. He liked making people feel like they were needed, especially girls. He knew he had met her somewhere before, though the moment was brief and they had hardly talked.

"So you like it? Well then, I guess I'll call you Chris for the rest of the time I'm with you." Jason grinned. He knew he was cocky and he knew that Chris was a sensitive person who didn't liked to be messed with. "If we're going to have to spend the rest of the year together, we might as well get to know each other." He said. "But I don't know how I can spend most of my time with you." He added adding a tone of discomfort. He couldn't handle a girl who was shy. What about clubbing? He'd have to cut that off his daily weekend list.

Shain nodded and smiled a more real smile. "Um...I think it was math or maybe english. I'm not sure. I usually sit away from a lot of people. As you can see...I'm not good with interaction...contact....and other communication things. I prefer to lock myself away in art or writing. I find it makes things easier." She whispered a little louder this time trying her hardest to not seem so timid.
