"Hold it! Now that's going a bit far. Yes you get into trouble, but that does NOT mean I don't care about you. Granted, I'd rather you didn't, but if you get yourself into something too deep it's going to catch up with you." Herron's arms were no longer behind his back, as when it came to where HE stood with caring about his children, things were quite a bit more serious. He gestured around the great hall and continued, "No child of mine is a burden, and unless they do something beyond forgiving, you will always be welcome in my house and this castle. I don't really care whether your siblings or even your mother agrees with me or not, I am still head of my family, my home, and my kingdom."

Sage just glared at him, his arms crossed. He was holding back tears, and clearly didn't beleive a single word his father had said.

When Herron noticed this, he paused, and sighed, blue-gray eyes saddening from their usual brightness. "...Do you really think I don't care about you son?" The king almost seemed hurt that one of his own children didn't believe him, and really, he was. As a father, the fact that one of his own kids could possibly think something like that wounded him more than any weapon in any battles he had fought before.

Sage nodded, and looked down, trying to hide the fact that he was about to break down.

She touch one gently not wanting to hurt the delicate creature. She smile at it and then at him. "She's beautiful." she said to him still petting her gently.

Seth Smiled, "Thanks. AJ?" he stepped closer to her, to see how she would respond.

She looked at him still with a smile "ya?" She asked hearing him say her name in question.

Seth, " I really like your bow." he said, cracking a grin. She was guarded, that was sure. He picked up her bow and ran it through his hand. It has nice balance, you do to since you are a hunter." he smiled on the outside, but inthe inside he did really like her.

She looked at him as he held her bow and wondered what he was doing with it. She heard him say something about it having balance and then heard him say that she had good balance. "Thanks." she said with a tiny bit of pink over her nose and cheeks.

Herron remained silent for a few moments, stroking his beard, thinking, trying to figure out some way to prove his son was wrong, and also wondering how he had even gotten to the point of thinking such a thing to begin with. "...Hmm, come with me," the king finally spoke after his silent spell, and put and arm around his shoulders before walking with him down the hall.
