Sam muffled a laugh with her now free hand. "What's to be jealous about. All I do is run. I'm nothing special." She said shrugging her shoulders, placing her glasses back down in front of her eyes. She looked at him, a grin tugging at the corners of her mouth.

"I have athletics next period. You really don't need to walk me. You probably have some pretty girlfriend somewhere that'll be jealous." Sam said, though she knew he didn't have a girlfriend. She knew it for a fact. She knew that much about him, which was pretty odd she had to admit.

Madi agreed with the first statement. "True. But the fact that she went to Oliver so quickly just... seems strange to me. As if she didn't care about you very much. As if she's trying to make you jealous, or maybe even me jealous. As if she did it out of spite." She remained quiet for a moment after her statement, pondering. "I understand." She said to the second statement, the one about second choices, smiling reassuringly. She felt warm inside at his compliment, then looked down as something hit the ground between Elwood's feet.
