Jayden waited for Anna to come back out. He needed to get to his bird before his mother did.

Anna raced out of the house with her dog and bag

"Okay. Let's go." He took off sprinting, tearing around a corner and flying up the porch steps to his front door. His foot falls were silent as he worked his way through the sleeping house. When he got to his bedroom door, he opened it quickly so it didn't have time to creak. His bird screeched in surprise and Jayden quickly grabbed all of his money and slipped on his gauntlet so his bird could perch on his arm. He sneaked through the window right when his mother ran into his room. He ran back around to Anna with a large Peregrine Hunting Falcon perching on his arm.

Anna looked at the bird "nice bird" she smiled

"Couldn't let mom kill him. Spent too much time training the thing." He looked at the falcon and clipped the tether onto its leg.
