Nellie bowed her head, unable to make eye contact, "3 months," she said, "You can't really tell yet because I'm trying to wear loose tops. You're not mad are you? You will... You will help me, won't you?" Nellie's voice was threatening to break with the tears she was keeping back.

I shrugged. "Yeah...Too bad. We could always just check different stores and stuff. Some of them are bound to be hiring," I suggested.

He looked down at the ground and a moment of silence entered the room. Then Eli looked up at Nellie. "You've kept your figure." He said quietly, changing the subject. He felt very awkward, like an elephant at a party with mice.
