"I love you too." He whispered. He pulled her closer and closed his eyes.

Kenliye looked up as Jess walked downstairs, rubbing her eyes. "Mommy, I'm hungry." She said. Kenliye smiled and pulled away.

Adrian let his hands linger before walking upstairs and changing. He lay his uniform neatly on the dresser. He looked up and into the mirror. He touched his face, trying to place himself. Sighing, he trudged back downstairs.

Kenliye was sitting at the table with Jess, coloring a picture as Jess ate spaghettio's.

Adrian sat beside her and fiddled with his thumbs.

Kenliye looked up at him and smiled. "Hey hun." She murmured.

"Hi baby." He smiled and twirled her hair.
