Katie woke up early in the morning. It had been a habit for her since school had started earlier in the year. She rolled over onto her side and picked up her phone from her nightstand and turning it on and looking at the various colored notifications on the screen. She clicked on her messaging app and sent a message to her best friend. Just a simple hello and good morning. She pulled the blanket up over her shoulder and huddled down into it not wanting to get out of her bed to go deal with life outside her bedroom door.

Alex was up and about working on the farm happily. When he had woken up at 5 he had made sure to text his best friend before becoming busy with taking care of the animals. He quickly checked his phone and sighed when next to the text it said "seen" yet she hadn't respond. He put his phone back in his pocket and rubbed Shadows head leaning on the horses stall.

Amelia woke up and yawned, stretching out. She got up changed from her night gown into an outfit, ready for the day. She checked her phone for the time, and brought it with her downstairs. She made herself a black cup of coffee, and a breakfast that included eggs and bacon. She ate up her food and walked over to the couch with her coffee, and plopped down. "Finally, a day to myself.." she mumbled. Her phone started ringing, and she saw it was from her dad, Can't he just quit trying to get me to join his stupid company.. shr thought, hesitating for a moment, then declining the call.
