eliza williamson - british heiress - tags: noi, amelie, theo
Liza's head jerked up at the sound of a car engine and she took a few breaths to steady herself. Setting the cat on the floor, she stood, brushing any stray hairs off her trousers. A feeling of dread coiled in the pit of her stomach - she'd done countless public appearance before, practically spent her whole life in the eye of the media, and yet this was something different altogether. Sneaking a glance through the window to the sweeping gravel drive outside, the knot in her gut loosened slightly as she saw it was Amelie. The two girls had been friends for years, she was beyond grateful to have the first guest be a friendly face. Eliza got to her feet and strode to the doors. She knew she could ask a staff member to open them for her, but she did love a bit of grandeur and dramatics.

Hesitating only a moment, Liza heaved open the huge front doors with as much grace as she could muster. Upper body strength had never been her forte. With a smile that was only half forced, she marched down the drive to where Amelie had just emerged from the car. Before she could utter any words of greeting, two other limousines pulled up behind the French heiress. And that was when the last person she wanted to see stepped out, addressing Amelie politely. Theo somehow looked the same as when they had been friends - Liza thought he might have sprouted devil horns or something in the time since their spat. Momentarily stunned, Eliza quickly pulled herself together, embracing her friend warmly, "It's so good to see you darling," she gushed, genuinely glad to see the younger woman again. She turned toward Theo, her fake, media smile on her face. "Theodore, a pleasure." A familiar awful feeling wrapped around her heart. Every month she'd spent not talking to her ex-best friend had been worse than the last, and yet she couldn't bring herself to make amends. If he didn't want to see her, that was his problem. Another young heir had arrived, Noi of America was already making some witty joke. Liza turned to address him, "Think optimistically Noi, maybe we'll all become best of friends." Pointedly not looking at Theo, she said, "I'll have the staff bring your luggage in, feel free to follow me inside."

───────────────── AKARI ──
role japanese heiress mentioned eliza, noi, theo, amelie

ring, ring, ring...
akari glanced at her phone, stopping the alarm that had popped up on the screen. tossing it on to her bed, she resumed her makeup, smiling for what felt like the hundredth time in the last hour. she had woken up early that morning, long before she had set her alarm for, but nervous excitement had it's hold on her; she had gotten out of bed and practically danced around her room. akari had calmed herself since then, but she still hummed a song to herself happily (and extremely out of tune) as she finished off her minimal makeup look for the day. she threw the makeup bag into her last open suitcase, cringing at the clothes surrounding it, still waiting to be packed up and ready to go. she didn't want to be late, so akari sighed, before getting to work on stuffing in the rest of the miles of clothing she had. once she was done, she wheeled each of the suitcases she had brought over to stand next to her door, grinning. her cousin, dai, had said she was ridiculous for bringing four suitcases for only eight weeks, but akari was intense when it came to her fashion sense, and if there was a chance that she could go the entire trip without re-wearing something, she was going to take it.

the outfit akari had planned for that day hung from the closet door; she smirked at it as it caught her eye. everywhere she went, she liked to make a statement, and today was no different. the dress was tight and a bright red, reaching to just above her knee; its strapless sweetheart neckline let her throw on an attention-drawing necklace, a small waterfall of precious diamonds that felt cool against her skin. her pump heels were the same vivid red as the dress, and once akari had the entire outfit on, the temptation to dramatize her makeup look was growing on her. eventually, she convinced herself, and a minute later, she posed in the mirror, pursing her cherry lips in satisfaction before yet again breaking into a large, pearl-white smile. no matter how hard she tried, it just kept coming back to her face despite her efforts to relax.

a knock at her hotel room door startled her; she tucked the lipstick into her small black handbag, before going over to the door and opening it. a man in a suit stood outside; he bowed deeply before clearing his throat. "your car is outside and ready to leave for the house, ma'am. if you'll allow me..." he gestured to akari's suitcases, and she stood back to let him into the room. she followed him out as he exited, her heels clicking on the marble floor as they headed towards the elevator. though akari had mentioned that she was only going to be staying at the hotel for one night, her parents had insisted on finding the finest hotel they could in the area. she hadn't minded, but the thought amused her slightly, as she passed by a marble statue.

the air was crisp as akari left the building, stinging her bare skin slightly, but she didn't mind - besides, it was looking to be a fine day, so she wasn't particularly worried. the man was loading her suitcases into the back of the cream white limousine in front of her as she stared at the city, which was in the opposite direction to where she knew they were headed. the sight made her think of japan; the bustling streets and the lights and the food and the fashion. while she had explored a bit of the city in britain the previous day, it didn't seem to have the same fresh feel that her home did. she couldn't explain it, but she already felt a bit homesick, which she found depressing. not in the mood to be sad, she shook herself out of her thoughts, and instead brought herself back to the giddy excitement that had filled her since she had woken. she thanked the man after he opened the backseat door for her, before sliding in with ease, biting back a smile at the clean white leather seats. a few moments later, the car pulled out of the driveway, and what had been left of the city fell into peaceful landscape.

akari drank in the sight of the estate with pleasure, gazing at the lush gardens that were filled with bright colours and pretty textures. she couldn't help noticing things like that, always finding things to be inspired by, things that made her want to create.
as they drove closer to the house, akari spotted a few of the other heirs that had arrived just before her, heading up the steps to the front door. her own car finally pulled up outside; she had chatted off the driver's ear the entire ride, and she was only now realizing that he probably couldn't care less about whether pink velvet went better with gold or silver accessories. chuckling to herself slightly, she exited the car after he opened the door for her, and instantly, she headed towards the other heirs grouping up outside the front door. her stride was purposeful, until the sound of noi's voice stopped her in her tracks; she somehow hadn't noticed him, or processed that he was there, because her heart clanged painfully in her chest as the click of her heels fell silent for a second, her step faltering. her confidence fell slightly, her throat tightening, but she inhaled and exhaled, trying not to let the tears that wanted to come to her eyes succeed. it was stupid; they had ended ages ago, but it still hurt to see him in person again. it took a few moments, but she returned to as close to normal as she was going to get; akari pulled herself together, and continued making her way to the group.

she seemed to have just missed a joke, because the blonde girl, who akari recognised as the french heiress, was laughing lightly at something just said. the girl's warm smile made akari feel more welcome as she approached; making sure to steer around noi as politely as possible, she ended up next to amélie, if akari's memory gave the french heiress' name correctly. while she had planned to make a more dramatic entrance, a bit of her self-esteem had been lost at the sight of her ex, so instead, she decided to wait to see what came next. luckily, the moment arrived sooner rather than later, as the door burst open behind them; a grin made its way on to akari's face at eliza's appearance, internally approving of the display, as it was the type of thing akari would definitely do. she waited patiently at the side as eliza hugged amélie and addressed theo; akari's observational skills could immediately tell that something had occurred between eliza and theodore. while she could tend to fall out of the loop when it came to the other heirs, akari knew the two had been besties; and besties didn't talk to each other like that. she kept her mouth shut though, not wanting to start drama on their first day there. she was sure they weren't the only ones with some issues; akari had problems of her own that she would have to face, too. she could definitely understand the pressure between the other two, though she hoped they would be able to make up, because she wasn't certain she would able to handle tension from the other's relationships, on top of her own.

───────────────── AMELIE ──
role french heiress mentioned eliza, noi, theo, akari

amélie turned at the sound of a voice speaking to her. she found theodore, the south african heir, behind her, his face seeming tense though his tone was polite and friendly enough. she smiled back at him courteously, before noticing him struggling with his suitcases. "oh, let me help you with that!" amélie interrupted, grabbing the handle on one of the suitcases and pulling it up the last few steps in front of the house. she chuckled lightly, brushing the hair out of her face before turning to theo again. "you are correct," she stated, grinning. "i'm amélie. and you are theodore, heir of south africa?" if theo answered, she didn't hear, as a loud voice boomed from behind them, another heir approaching them making amélie jump. she turned to see the heir of the united states, noi, striding up to them in his usual confident manner. while she wasn't completely familiar with him, amélie could remember the other times they had met; noi's coolness never seemed to falter. she found it rather impressive, if she was being honest.

after processing his question, amélie chuckled at the bluntness of the question. to be completely truthful, she still wasn't sure if she was ready, but she had to be, didn't she? she was standing outside the door to the british house. she didn't really have much choice.
the japanese heiress, akari, approached a few moments after noi; amélie offered her a friendly smile, despite not knowing the other very well. whatever may have occurred next was interrupted, as the door opened behind them; amélie turned to see eliza stride out, looking as put-together as always. amélie's grin grew wider at the sight of her old friend; she approached the other heiress immediately, accepting her hug with happiness. eliza's words warmed her heart, relief instantly making amélie feel more comfortable with the entire situation. "you too," she replied cheerfully, her cheeks rosy. she waited patiently while eliza addressed the others, before happily following the heiress inside her house.

Rafaela sat beside her mother and father in the limo, watching the road outside pass by outside the window as they drew nearer their destination. She could faintly hear her mother speaking, once again stressing how important what was happening was, how it stood to strengthen their power and a slew of other points. In respond the heiress nodded her head in understanding, smiling at her mother with a reassuring 'I know.' In truth Rafi wasn't sure about everything going on but her personal opinion was far outweighed by her sense of duty to her family and to her role. As they pulled in front of the estate her mother tucked a piece of hair back into its place, moments later Rafi was outside of the car with her suitcase in hand as her parent's drove away.

Rafaela readjusted the black dress that clung to her and adjusted the coat that hadn't moved. As always she was pulled together perfectly, clothes crisp and matching, her makeup done to a tee, and not a single piece of hair out of place. Taking one last breath and adjusting her posture Rafi strode towards the doors, gently pushing them open and entering the estate. While the ride had been all thought entering the building was like having the weight of those thoughts finally pressing down on her.

Rafaela had always been a strong, independent thinker who was known for making her own decisions. Even her father had helped to foster this and for years it was assumed she would always ascend the throne of her country, married or not. Now here she stood, entering into a two month stay with several other royal children who they were supposed to marry. It was insane, wasn't it? She had met all of them before sure but the spending weeks together was an entirely different challenge. She couldn't drop the royal facade here, at least not completely. Her only saving grace was going to be having Matteo stuck in here with her, that was at least one person she could be her self with.

She turned a corner and was greeted with the sight of several of the other heir's already present, her lips turned up into a friendly smile as she stepped further into the room, "Hello everyone! Nice to see you all again."

Matteo

23|Male|Argentina's Heir
Loc: Hotel to UK Estate
Tags: Everyone

-------======--------
"Hola mi pequeño leon." [Hello my little lion]. Matteo said as he smiled adoringly. The Argentinian heir was laid on his hotel bed on the phone with his beloved son, Arturo and his ex Sofia. He'd been up for only one hour but already he was video calling home. Not his parents or sister as he spoke to them the night before, no he wanted to talk to his son and Sofia whom he still loved with all his hear and if it were up to him would by now be his wife. Unfortunately after the loss of his elder brother and sister-in-law, Matteo was forced to end things with her. Arturo started going on about things him and Sofia had done and places they'd gone recently. It had been a fortnight since Matteo last saw the pair face-to-face and wanted to know everything that had happened.

" Papi cuando vienes a casa?" [Daddy, when are you coming home?] Arturo asked with the cutest tilt of his symmetrical head. Both Matteo and Sofia sighed as the Prince watched his ex run a hand through the boys shaggy red hair. Matt's heart sank, how do you explain to a toddler that the next time you see them you'll be married to someone whose not their mother?

"Pronto pequeño león, pronto. Solo recuerda que papi te ama." [Soon little lion, soon. Just remember that daddy loves you.] He replied whole-hearted as he put a hand on his heart. Though he wasn't thrilled about this whole situations, he understood that it was necessary to form alliances for his country. It was times like these that Matteo really missed Rafael so he would take on the duties of their fathers heir but alas Matteo was alone and god knows he would do anything for his parents and his country. Over the last three years, Matt's father - the King - had tutored him through a strict routine of a King's duties but even having had that, Matteo was still as unprepared as ever. Chatting to Sofia and Arturo for about another half hour, Matt randomly glanced at the clock realizing that it was about that time. Sighing, the heir said his goodbyes and got himself ready. No doubt the young ladies would be there before the guys, typical noblewoman. The only person he was thrilled to be spending time with was his best friend Rafaela, heiress of Brazil his homes sister country. The two of them were in themselves like brother and sister and that's how Matt always greeted her.

Matteo changed into the outfit he'd picked the night before which was smart casual so he didn't look too over nor too under dressed. He wore a white cotton short-sleeved shirt with black buttons, a pair of black chinos that stopped just below his ankles, a dark grey slightly checkered blazer, black suede shoes and a dark grey belt with a silver belt buckle. The belt buckle had the 'Sun of May' engraved in the center with the words 'En union y libertad' meaning 'In Unity and Freedom' written around the sun in Spanish. This was Argentina's motto and the buckle was a gift from Sofia on their first anniversary. Brushing his shaggy hair back with a comb, the prince brushed some gel through the top to make sure it didn't look too scruffy and looked at himself in the bathroom mirror. He nodded and took a deep breath. He figured that he was presentable enough and grabbing his black Emporio Armani watch with his key left the room. His escort was waiting outside the door greeted the prince and then took his luggage as he followed Matteo into the lift out to the reception desk where he proceeded to check out.

After exiting the hotel, Matteo slid into the limo and then headed to the British Royal family estate to meet the others. The entire car journey was total silence as he thought about what the new two months would bring. He knew he had to marry one of the heiress' but which one? The prince had thought about what the four of them would be like - even though he knew what living with Rafi would be like since he'd known her all their lives - and kind of shivered at the thought that he had a one-in-four chance of his fiance being Rafaela. No matter what, Matteo would be polite, regal and do his absolute best to represent his motherland in a positive light not there was anything negative about the beautiful Argentina to begin with.

The limo soon pulled through the gates and parked up next to the others. Argentinean flags graced the front as did all the other home flags of the other limos. Before getting out, Matteo glanced through the window to see who was here. He laughed slightly at the sight of all the heiress; France, Japan, Britain of course and Brazil, brilliant. Luckily he wasn't the last one to arrive as only the heirs of South Africa and America were here which meant Australia was last. He breathed a sigh of relief, it would have been a tad awkward is he were last to arrive. His escort - Manuel - turned to him wishing him luck before the chauffeur opened his door.

"The British Estate, your royal highness." He said as Matteo stepped out of the car and looked round. He turned to the man and nodded before walking forward towards the entrance.

eliza williamson - british heiress - tags: all
Eliza nodded to the staff who'd appeared to whisk the guests' luggage off to their respective rooms, the house was essentially split into three sections for the next two months, two suites of rooms on either side of a central area containing communal dining and living areas. The ladies would take the east wing and the gentlemen, the west. Of course this had all been planned months in advance, so no communication was required between Liza and the servants. She led the slowly growing group through the entrance hall, into the main sitting room where a fire blazed merrily in the hearth. Despite it being spring, the warm weather had decided to hold off and while she was used to the chill, she figured some of the others may not appreciate sitting in a room with a temperature of ten degrees.

Liza waited a beat to allow her audience to settle into chairs and quiet down. She cleared her throat and smiled politely at them all, going over the speech her parents had helped her prepare. "First, I'd like to thank you all for accepting the invitation to be here," Not that you had much choice, she thought. "I know that it will be difficult leaving your countries for the next couple of months, but I promise you it will not be in vain." Even listening to herself she felt ridiculous - she wasn't some General trying to rally an army, they were sitting on squashy couches in a multi-million dollar mansion. She coughed lightly again, "The Williamson family have planned many different events and activities over the course of your time here to foster camaraderie and friendship between the future leaders of our great nations." Liza forced herself not to outwardly cringe - usually when she had to give speeches like these, she was constantly swapping grins and glances with Theo, or at least imagining how he'd tease her, she'd never realised how much more bearable he'd made it. "To that end, there will be a dinner tonight to formally begin this process. Please feel free to explore the grounds and get acquainted with your rooms. The staff are at your disposal so don't hesitate to ask them for whatever you may need." And that was it. With what she hoped was one last winning smile, Eliza breathed a sigh and turned, releasing the room from her soporific speech.
