Items tradeable when on pet? - Please Lock

So this morning, I sent out two trades. To swap a Christmas set of Items I had, for another set that I missed. I offered the same items in both trades. I had one of the sets double. So offered both one set. Within a few minutes of each other, both the trades were accepted, and now both my sets are gone. So now I have 2 of the other set, and none of the set I had double.

But the weird thing is, that I had put one of the sets on one of my dogs, to make sure I wouldn't trade it. The dog has been stripped of the items, and both my sets are really gone. I thought it wasn't possible to trade items that you had put on a pet? Shouldn't the second trade have become impossible due to item unavailability? I'm a little bummed that now both my sets are gone. It's not a big trouble, I can go swap for it again. But I really thought that if your items were on a pet, they were safe. I never expected for the items to just be stripped off the dog because I had them twice and two people accepted a trade for it.

Anyone have any ideas to how this might have happened?

Did you send the trade before you dressed up the pet?

I dressed up the pet yesterday, sent the trades this morning.

Then I went to check the pet
Which, before the trades were sent or accepted had the skirt, hat and socks on.

I have a question related to this. If you are sending a trade to a person and you want their items but those items are on a pet of theirs, it's not possible to send a trade for that item right? And I would also want to know about this ^^ Thank you.

For the first question, yes, that's correct. :] When the items are put on a pet they don't show up in the inventory when you go to trade with someone. Though, a trade doesn't get cancelled automatically/the items don't disappear from the trade if the items are put on a pet after the trade was sent.

But the problem that i posted is the fact that I put the items on the Pet Beforehand to sending out the trades, to make sure they couldn't be traded. Then both trades that I sent got accepted within a short time of each other and both sets I had disappeared, including the one that i had put on my rottweiler the night before i sent the trades in question.

Yeah, I know Sweet. :< I was answering to the question RagingTwister had, though I see now where I made a mistake since it didn't work like that for you. I have no idea what happened why it took both of the sets, when one of them was on a pet. D:

Guess it must've been a glitch, I'll just be more patient next time and not send out more than one trade. Better safe than sorry, eh? Thanks anyway Tui ^^
