Problem please help!

This is a problem which started to occur earlier today. Do you know when you get a new message? You get a little number by the row that says messages e.g. Messages (1 new).

Mine is stuck! It says Messages (4 new) and I can't get it away. I've logged out, shut down, signed out of cs, and obiously clicked on it! If I get a new message for example Messages (5 new)

I click on it and it goes back down to four. I've also tried clearing out my mailbox a bit, but I didn't want to get rid of them all?

Is this a common problem? I've never had it before! Any help, especially Mods help grateful!

Do you see a tiny text that says "Release all on-hold messages", above your PMs when you go to your inbox? Click on that. :]
