Rapidly flashing images - a proposition.

Rapidly flashing images have been cropping up in a lot of signatures and avatars lately... as someone sensitive to this, I've started having short, minor petit mal seizures because of them. I'm asking that they be banned or restricted, because I can't be the only one that has this problem - it's statistically impossible. :< I don't want to hide signatures just for this irresponsibility, because a lot of people have valuable links there... like art shops and whatnot that I might just want to click. And I also use them to help me identify who is posting, because some people share the same avatar, and just scanning through, I don't check every single name all of the time.

But then I hit someone with a rapidly flashing signature and have to slam my eyes shut and go to another page, lest I find myself in the midst of another absence seizure... which isn't very good for a person, all things considered. :c

I very much support a ban of rapidly flashing images of all kinds. I don't suffer from any seizures, but I'm sure there are people who do, and to the rest of us those images can be terribly annyoing to look at. For people who are sensitive I'm sure that hiding both the signatures and avatars would be quite boring.

I also support this. My eyes have become a bit more sensitive to rapidly flashing images or neon colours recently, as a result of my poor sight. And as Spotty mentioned, if I were amongst the people that are more sensitive than I am, it would be boring having to disable displays of avatars + signatures.

I have avatars and sigs turned off because of that very reason, but I can understand if people don't want to slim their forum experience because of some obnoxious users that think it is funny to put flashing things in their sigs. It is just annoying and very distracting for the eye.
