Changing usernames--Nick, please read. :)

Okay, I want to change my username to "Bailey", but every time I try to change it, it says it is already in use. I don't think that's the case because when I use the search engine, the only name like that is "bailey". I didn't want the username with the lowercase 'B'. I saw a topic similar to mine, and apparently it's because the account wasn't activated yet. If that's true, I was wondering if Nick can deactivate it so I can use the username.

EDIT: Okay, so I kind of figured that "Bailey" cannot be used, so I decided on "Alexandra", but that says it's in use also, but when I searched it, no usernames came up. So if it's possible, could that be changed? Thanks.

Bailey was an account that was made but never activated. Nick can delete it.

I think "Bailey" and "bailey" would count as the same username-I believe the usernames are not case-sensitive- In anycase, I don't think Nick can delete that account and give you the username because that person has adopted pets. I may be wrong though.

They are totally different usernames, I believe. Well, I hope so anyways. I don't get how they can be the same...when they aren't. xD Also, I don't want the username "bailey", and I wouldn't ask for it because they have pets already.

it does not matter if you use capitals or lower cases for the starting just to tell. .bailey and Bailey are the same thing.

I know. I don't want "bailey" anyway, so I wouldn't even ask. Besides, I wouldn't want an account deleted for that reason, even if it was allowed.

I realize it's probably true, but I'd kind if like conformation from one of the mods, or Nick/Tess that the usernames are not case sensitive, just in case. (I don't want to give up hope yet. xD)

The usernames are not case sensitive. There can't be a Bailey and a bailey. Sorry. But you can add a symbol in front or in back of the username to make it different.

Okay, thanks for the advice.

I'd still like to know about Alexandra, though. When I type in the username, no name whatsoever shows up, yet I can't use it because it says it's "already in use."
