Signature problem! Malfunction? Virus?

Hi guys!
I recently won a puppy from KayleeBanana and went to put it in my siggy. Mostly what I did was delete things, since when I went to put some art from Minako in I was told I didn't have much space. So I deleted between 100 and 300 characters, and added about 50. When I tried to save it, it told me I had over a thousand characters. Why is this happening? Just now, I tried to go in and only delete things, and it told me I had over 850 characters. It was fine before. What should I do?!?
