I think the URL you have in the code isn't url for the image, but rather for... page? I don't know, but the link you use doesn't seem to be working.
Right click on the image, and there should be option "Copy image location" or something like that. Click on that and then paste the url here when you post.

The url should be like this:

Then you put the [img]and[/img] tags around the url. (forums usually offer quick way for that; highlight the image address and click on "img" above the box where you write your post.)

I have been trying to figure out how to insert pictures of pets from the archives. I know how to insert the codes on the pets I own, but how do you insert pics into forums, signatures, or trade settings from the archives? I copied the url but it only gave me the link. I tried a few other things but nothing has worked. I have seen others do it because they put their dreampets in their sigs and trade settings etc. so I know it's possible. i just can't seem to figure it out.

You go to the Archive and get to the page the pet you want to display, as example I go now 2008 and pick the white growing July dog.

For that I go there: http://www.chickensmoothie.com/archive/2008/July/

Right click on the dog -> Image properties-> and copy the url from it.

Now I have this url: http://static.chickensmoothie.com/archi ... &bg=99c57c

To display the url with the pet, insert it in a [img] tag.



The code looks like this:

You are using the wrong url for the image. You are posting the page link in between the IMG brackets. You need to actual image url. It should be ending one of these:
.png
.gif
.jpg

You need to copy the 'Image Location' or go to properties and copy the 'Image URL'.

And please do not just grab images off of Google to use since they do not belong to you.
