Editing a Post

Hey. =3 I don't spend much time on CS anymore, but I got a message from a moderator reminding me I still had a contest open, which I posted in february.
I've finally ended the contest, judged the entries, and sent out prizes. But when I tried to change the first post to tell people it's closed, I realized I can't edit that post anymore. All I see at the top of my post are the report and quote buttons. I've checked other posts of mine, including posts in that same thread and ones for other contests I've held, and I can edit all of them fine.

So anyway, I'd either need a solution to that problem, or just to have a mod lock the contest for me, since all I really need to do is stop more people from entering.

Just go to the first page and click Edit and change the title of your contest to "Mods please delete" or "Contest over" so when someone goes to click on it, they won't join. (:

The problem is that I can't actually edit the post--the button isn't there. Sorry if I didn't explain that well enough. ^^;

thats really odd that its not there, maybe PM a moderator the link and ask them to lock the thread. Hope this helps (:

Sometimes the image dosen't load. When you hover over where edit is supposed to be, does your cursor turn into a hand? The link might still be there, but it just dosen't show sometimes.

Don't PM a moderator or anyone. Posting here is enough. They check here just as much.

When we see someone disregarding their contest, we lock the first post to prevent editing.

I have locked the topic now so you don't get anymore entrants.
