How can you animate your avatar?

how do you get your avatar to move? like, an animation er something?

You can use Windows movie maker, which comes with all windows computers...
The only problem is that it sometimes has a bit of lag.

That won't work. x)

To have a moving picture, the file has to be a gif. I personally don't know how you make them, but you can use photoshop to make your own. If you want to find a selection of free to use .gifs, I suggest checking out glitter graphics or a similar site. There is also a big art community on cs, so I'm sure you could easily find a shop selling avatars just like that, and you could order a personalised avatar.
