Problem with the Pound...?

So, this is the problem... I have noticed the Pound was open, but everytime I try to adopt, this error appears:

"You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'read) VALUES (2887,453,2,NOW(),NOW(),3)' at line 1"

I have been trying for 10 minutes straight, and I just can`t adopt, at all. It seems others users must have this problem as well, as no newborn was adopted yet. D:
