Wacom Bamboo tablet help!?!?!

I think there's something wrong with my tablet pen or something but i'm not sure seemings as this is my first tablet and i've only had it for 6 months.... The light on the tablet lights up when touched with the pen like it should but i can move the curser like it should.... I have re-installed the driver twice now and restarted my laptop and it's still not working. Does anybody know what's wrong and how to fix it?

This occasionally happens with mine.
I completely understand: you plug it in, open up a doodle, use the pen and BAM- not working.
I'm not sure: usually I just unplug it for a few hours, then use it again... :S
